"You say I'm selfish but I know you felt the same inside. Everybody says it's all okay. Everybody says we're fine, but I guess someone else is what you need to make
you feel alright."

Sebastian POV
I stared at Savannah as I felt my entire world fall apart around me. I was stupid. So fucking stupid. How could I think Savannah would go for a loser like me? I wasn't a millionaire and I couldn't give her everything she wanted. Jasmine's parents were like a personal piggy bank that she could dip into if Savannah so much as looked at the thing in awe. Besides, the two of them had history. There was so much of it that I would never be able to compete with that.

I wanted her to be happy so if I had to let her go, I would. I bit my lip and nodded once as I told her grimly, "I'll help you pack, then."

Savannah stared at me with confusion and asked, "That's it?"

I looked at her with hard eyes and responded, "What do you mean, 'That's it?' What do you want me to do? Tell you no and that you have to stay with me forever? I'm not your father, Sav. I won't make you do anything you don't want to. If you want to leave, that's your choice. I can't stop you."

"I-I know... It's just..." She said, as a mumble.

"Just what?" I asked her, getting frustrated.

"Nevermind," she said softly.

"Go wait by the car while I get Rue. We'll go home and I'll drop you off at Jasmine's," I told her.

"A-actually Jasmine's waiting for me by the library," she said nervously.

I raised my eyebrows and sighed, "Okay, I'll drop you off there and you can pick up your stuff whenever. I'll have Rue help me pack everything for you."

"I can do it. You don't need to do that," she said in a hushed voice.

"I know but I'm going to."

She pouted and started sniffling before coming to attempt to hug me tightly. When her arms reached for mine, I gently moved her away from me. I wanted to scoop her up and kiss her, but my heart hurt too much for that.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled to her.

She nodded her head and started walking back to the library. I followed her wanting to make sure she got there safely without bumping into someone like Justin. When we got there, Jasmine was standing there, waiting by the door. Her eyes lit up when she saw Savannah.

"There's my little princess!" Jasmine exclaimed.

Savannah ran to her and Jasmine picked her up, cuddling her close to her chest. She kissed her once before setting her down and telling her, "Why don't you pick out a couple of books we can read tonight, sweetheart? I'll be right here. I just need to talk to Sebastian for a second, okay?"

Savannah gave a small smile before nodding once and running into the library. Jasmine watched her go inside and then turned back towards me to say, "I just wanted to let you know I appreciate everything you've done for Savannah. I don't know if she would be here today if you didn't step up the way you did. You did good by both her and Rue. If I had known then how bad everything was, maybe it could've played out a different way. So, I just wanted to say thank you."
