change my mind because this just don't
feel right to me. I wanna raise your spirits. I want to see you smile but know that means I'll have to leave. Lately, I've been, I've been thinking I want you to be happier."

Rue's POV
Sebastian thought I was asleep when he came into my room that night; however, when you have parents that continuously come into your room to make sure you didn't sneak out, you become a light sleeper that jumps up at the slightest sound.I slowly peered open my eyes when Sebastian left my room with his bat. Confused, I went to my doorway to peer out and spy. I saw him opening the door and there was Savannah. I burrowed my eyebrows, puzzled. Hadn't Savannah hurt Sebastian enough? I loved her dearly but he would come back to her as her friend when he was ready.
They were talking but I couldn't hear as they were whispering, but when I saw Savannah leap up and kiss him, everything made sense now. I smiled widely knowing that Savannah wasn't here for friendship. My family was back together again.
I ruined the moment by running out of the room and jumping to hug Savannah, "You're back!".
Savannah giggled and rubbed her cheek against mine, "Mhm, and I'm here to stay too."
Happiness spread throughout my chest but a thought suddenly dawned on me. What about Jasmine? "Does Jasmine know you're here?" I asked.
Savannah's smile suddenly disappeared and her eyes averted to the floor, showing guilt tucked away. Sebastian was standing by the door, still in a state of shock. Suddenly, he came back to his senses gently swatted the back of her head. "You left on your own without letting an adult know?" He asked in a tone that was starting to grow angry.
Savannah pouted and whined, "That's beside the point. You're ruining the moment. I just declared my love and you're focused on the technicalities of it."
Sebastian eyed her sternly, "Jasmine is still your caregiver. She doesn't know where you are. It's pouring outside and not to mention it's late at night. Savannah, think about how she must feel right now."
Savannah started to tear up from what I assumed was guilt and disappointment. "I left a letter. I was too much of a coward to face her. I'll apologize when I see her. But how come it is that I just told you I love you and you haven't even acknowledged it? Have you moved on already?".
Sebastian sighed a heavy sigh before pulling her to the couch. I could tell they needed a private moment so I went back to my room but peered behind the crack of the almost closed door.
"Savannah, I still love you. But as far as Jasmine knows, you still belong to her. It's wrong to cheat without the other partner knowing it's over. I need you to put your big girl pants on, one last time. I'm going to call her and you're going to tell her everything when she gets here. Once she knows, I promise I'm going to sweep you up and never let you out of my arms ever again," Sebastian said.
Savannah smiled and went to hug him once more. I was happy for them but I realized something. If they were officially a couple, they'd be needing more and more private moments. I could see it now. I would be the third wheel. A burden. I could see them kicking me out now. I would be all alone with nowhere to go.
