Savannah's POV
The summer went by in a flash. We had many more memories that would last a lifetime. We took a road trip across the country and ended up going back to Disneyland. While Daddy went to work at the mechanic shop, I would stay with Jasmine and Rue at their house and we would go to the library and park. It was an amazing summer that made my last eighteen years of hell seem like an eternity ago.Autumn was coming near and I watched Jasmine and Rue get ready to start their first semesters at college while Sebastian was furthering his career and investments. Everyone was moving forward, and I felt that I was finally starting to heal enough to do the same.
I knew Sebastian would never pressure me to work or go to school. He was happy as long as I was happy. However, that didn't stop the guilt of mooching off him. It was better when Rue was here because there were two of us, but he had moved in with Jasmine a couple of weeks ago. I was happy for him but I still felt left out when everyone was so productive.
I thought about what I wanted to do with my life and I couldn't come up with a single thing. I didn't want to work at a job that I wasn't going to be passionate in but I also didn't want to waste thousands of dollars to pay for a college when I wasn't even sure what I wanted to major in. Not to mention that it was already too late to apply to four-year universities. I thought about it and decided that the best option was to go to a junior college. I would get paid to go to school and I could get my general ed done while figuring out what exactly it was I wanted to do. It was perfect.
When I told Sebastian, he was supportive. He even offered to drive me to classes every day so I wouldn't have to take the bus. He went with me to go sign up and helped fill out the paperwork. By the end of it all, I was scheduled for six classes that would begin the following week. I was grateful that they had late registration spots still open.
When we got back, Sebastian ordered takeout and we cuddled on the couch while watching American Horror Story. I sat in his lap and hid my face in his chest when the scary scenes came out while we ate straight out of the take out boxes. After, we got ready for bed and snuggled with a mountain of stuffies surrounding us. It had been yet another perfect night as it had been for that entire summer.

The morning of the first day of the school gave me the jitters, but I told myself it would be different. In high school, there were bullies and stupid teachers. In college, the students were more friendly and the professors laid back. I dressed in a normal outfit, not wanting to push my luck, and wore denim shorts with a white T-shirt and white high tops. I ate a banana and shook Sebastian to wake him up.
He rolled over and groaned, "What time is it?".
I peeled the blanket off him and rolled my eyes, "It's seven. You have to get up or else we'll be late."
He slowly got up and stretched his arms out, "You mean you'll be late. I'm not going to work today."
I was surprised a bit and asked, "They don't need you today?".
He shook his head no and responded, "No, I called out today."
I raised my eyebrows questioningly at him and inquired, "What for?".
He peered his eyes over at the clock behind and got up out of bed to get dressed, "No reason, but we better hurry because if we don't leave soon, you will be late."
