"Owowowowow--I said Owwww!" Y/n screamed pulling her sprained feet away from Sing's touch. "God you're such a sadist!"
"Tch. You're just being bratty. Act your age and try to bare with it. I'm already trying to help out." The young chinese replied back.
She crossed her arms. "I did try. But I just can't bear with it." She replied. She sighed after a moment of silence looking at Sing who sat on the floor facing her. He was looking away annoyed.
"Hey Y/n..." he called with a lower voice.
"What?" She asked. Something about his tone of voice made her felt something is wrong.
He looked up at her. "I heard everything from Eiji." He said again.
She looked away. "I don't want you to know that." She replied back sadly.
"It wasn't your fault. What happened to boss was all because of Golzine." He said.
"No. It was mine." She said. Sing frowned and she continued. "I was there... I could've done something. But all I think about is myself. All I think about is following orders just because Monseiur... all I could think of is not disobeying him." She said.
"I told you. It's not your fault." Sing still insisted.
"It is! It's always the same... it was always the same." She muttered. Tears playing on her eyes that made the images on her sight a blur. "I hurt everyone important to my brother. I hurt people I wished I shouldn't have."
Sing stood up. Leaned forward to reach a palm to her cheek. Bewildered, she blinled twice, tears finally escaping her eyes that dribbled down her cheeks while she stared at Sing who looks back at her. "It's not your fault." He said in finality. He eyes not failing to offer assurance.
"Sing..." her voice croaked the moment she said his name.
"Y/n... are my words not enough for you?" He asked. She looked bewildered again. "If I tell you it's not your fault. Trust me, it's not. I don't want to see you cry like this, it really makes me hate myself for not being able to comfort you."
Again there was confusion. But his words gave an impact. Her face suddenly reddening while her tears ling retreated. "Wh-what the hell Sing!" She said out loud.
"What?" Sing asked back showing the same bewildered expression as hers.
"Since when did you have the gutts to be so romantic!" She covered her face embarrassed while Sing suddenly realized his current action. His face also visiting a blush as he looked away.
"Don't make it sound so straightforward!" He said. Making a distance between them. Soon that he's gotten over the awkwardness, he sighed and smiled. "But what I said is true, y/n. Please don't forget that."
She removed her hands on her face. Her blush had also retreated looking up at the raven who smiled innocently at her. That made her felt amaze over the rays emenating to the boy's back in her imagination. "Since when are you such a dear angel my precious Sing?" She asked with a straight wondering face.
"What the hell's with you?" Sing asked embarrassed again.
Finally, his sight made her laugh a little. Her gloomy surrounding finally brightens up and made him smile. "Thanks Sing." She said. "But there's something else I have to tell you."
"What's it about?"
"It's Shorter." She said. "I don't think he's dead."
Sing's eyes rounded surprised. "He's not?!" He went near, holding both the girl's shoulder with wide wondering eyes.
"When I came to... Shorter's body was not in the lab anymore. And I made sure I didn't hit any critical organ... hopefully." She explained looking away.
"Really?!" Sing sighed in relief after hearing the good news.
"I want some cake! Can I borrow some clothes from you, deary?!" She asked teasingly.
"What's with you. Calling me names every now and then." He said with a pout.
She laughed. "I really like that face. Don't worry Sing. No matter what face you make, its damn precious!" Standing up, she made her way to the boy's closet, casually opening it like its her own.
"Hey! Don't just rummage someone else's closet!" The boy complain making his way near her but soon stopped when she looked at him with a rather adorable pout.
"Come closer and I'll strip in front of you. Want that?" She asked annoyed.
"Y/n, you little..." he said annoyed. Calming down, he sighed and started walking towards his own exit door. "I'll wait outside. We're going out." He said closing the door.
"Oh! So you want a date with this pretty hot nurse?!" She asked on the other room.
"Shut up and change!" Sing exclaimed back.
He heard her laugh. "Okay. Could you help me put some pants on?!" She asked.
"No way!"
"Ehhh? But you've seen like my naked body!" She complained back.
"Don't shout that out! You're being such a vulgar!"
She laughed again. "Ehh??? Want me to sing then, Sing?" She asked.
"I said shut up and change."
"Sheesh. You're so high tempered. What did you eat? A heater? A big ball of negative energy?" She asked back teasingly. "Don't worry Sing, as I've said, I accept you no matter what."
The boy grunted a sigh, brushing past his hair in frustration. "Just make it quick or I'll leave you here."
"I'm already done!" She said, opening the door as the boy turned to look at her. Surprised his jaw dropped from her outfit. It was his ragged black pants, navy blue sleeveless shirt ticked to her pants and a grey jacket tied to her waist. "See? I look freakin hot so you should feel lucky. Your shoes are big. Why do you have big feet when you're so small?" She teased.
"You're including my height again when you're not taller!" Sing blushed and look away. "Psh. You're being obnoxious again." He said softly almost mumbling.
"I've always been. So! Let's go." She grabbed her by the arm going out of the room. But when Sing was being pulled behind her, he noticed something peeking in the back of her skin attached to her shoulder.
"You have a tattoo?" He asked.
"It's originally a scar. So since it looked ugly I had it tattooed." She explained.
"Since when? You're too young to have tattoo!" Sing scolded.
She looked at him through her peripherals with a smile still walking into the hallway. "Do you think I don't know that? But my tattoo is cool, I'll show it to you next time." She winked at him.
"Geez." The boy pouted. "You're such a little--" he paused when he slammed into her back without notice.
She looked around anxiously as if there was someone there. But seeing no sign of movement she pulled him faster. The feeling she couldn't feel wrong about... someone was watching them.
"What is it Y/n?" Sing asked.
The girl gave a looked at him again but now serious. "I don't know yet... but I have a feeling that we should hurry." She told him.
