Y/n sat on the sandy beach, her skin feeling the cold wind that kisses the sensation of life in the sea. Her e/c eyes focused on the mixture of hues that currently brightens the sky. Playing a tune she composed to glorify the view that kept her captivated by the sea for a long time.
It was sunset. The scarlet sun gradient with a fading darkness. As much as she loved the view, she couldn't take her mind off the thought of watching it with the people she left dearly in Manhattan. Especially, him. Just how much of a chance she wanted to go back and apologize to their uncivilized separation... seven years of wait for the supposed apology.
She sighed, her white dress being stained by the color of the darkening scarlet sky. Waiting for the soon incoming darkness, thay without notice, she was suddenly covered by a jacket around her shoulder for warmth that made her smile a little from the kind gesture.
"Okay. I've thought about it..." Blanca, who stood beside her lit up a tobacco despite the harsh winds gnashing into the sea, be it a tactic that he still managed to light the the match. With one short inhale, he blew the smoke out of his mouth before continuing his prolonged statement. "I can't go back there." He finally said.
The smile on the girl's lips disappeared when he finished. "But dad--"
"Dear, I'm only pertaining to myself." He muttered softly, earning a wide eyed look from his daughter. He smiled, caressing her hair gently. "Perhaps I've been seeing you as a kid lately. You're already 22, I know that you already know what you're supposed to do."
"Really dad?!" She asked in disbelief.
He nodded. "Although. I came to a conclusion that you only wanted to see Sing. But it's fine." He added teasingly.
This made the girl blush in embarrassment. Caught redhanded by her father again like the back of his palms after years being observed as they lived together. She can't even believe how obviously emotional she's become after being spoiled by the former professional assassins of a parents she has.
Meeting her mother wasn't really that eventful. Like her, her mother was just as cautious, nonchalant and apathetic during their mother daughter chat. But came few days, she was suddenly seeing big luggage being delivered to her house and three days after that made her and her father looled rather confused whether to keep it in or inspect it for possible bombing. Another two days passed and the gun lady started making breakfast for the father and daughter pair. The absolute assassin shooter officially retired from her work and now was an unbelievably descending head of a certain business the girl never new.
Well. That's about to sum up the event that happened seven years prior of her stay in Caribbean. Thinking about how mouthful of nagging Blanca-- who now returned to his name Sergei-- recieved after she was told about the incident in Manhattan. He had no say in defense, but questioned her absence as well. Which gave another round and reason to bicker within the passing months of them in hopes to form the family.
Those past moments only got her to laugh just thinking about how impossible it would be to have an instant parent-child relationships. She was raised as a killer, after all.
Later on, she realized that they stopped. It was a real wonder why to her. It lifted up her curiosity and investigated how the explosive rivalry of her parents halted. And yeah. It so happened that mother dear was pregnant with her baby brother/sister to be.
How?
Who knows. They're both flirts anyways. And that continued on like your typical family story.
She lived a privelege life, a complete family--includes now a brother, an excellent and outstanding class records, a good career path to music, and a normal life while repenting on her previous sins.
Almost perfect. If only she could share the thought with the people she left.
After seeing Eiji off, they recieved the news regarding Ash being stabbed near the library. Y/n ran along with Sing and Shorter all the way to the hospital, waiting impatiently as a surgery underwent to the blond boss. The girl was in a panic state while the young chinese male kept her reassured that her brother was fine. Shorter also did, telling her how strong Ash was supposed to be.
Few more gruelling hours of walking agitated and the doctor came out, taking the young blonde out of the emergency room to be taken to the Intensive Care Unit to be observed in his recovery.
The girl was already crying. Sing wrapped his arms around her in sympathy while the police came to inform about Lao's death that was caused by a gunshot wound. It seemed that Ash and him already ended the showdown where the Asian's body was found before Ash was even found wounded in his sleep in the library.
Few stated that if he wasn't attended sooner, he could've died as well.
It broke them both. Sing and Y/n's brothers had to end up in such tragedy. But this caused them to have a little crack on the endline. While she tried to stop herself getting too emotional, she ended up blaming it to Sing for having such brother, bit the other retaliated back for her lack of empathy that he himself just lost a brother while she still had hers trying to be saved.
This bicker soon turned into something unlikely for the both of them that, hardly, Shorter cannot talk out off with any sympathical speech he could speak of. After all, they're both mad because of some mistakes they're not supposed to be involved with. The former Mohawk could no longer do anything but to scratch his bald head and raised an eyebrow.
Y/n, not having more time to spare in Manhattan, only ensured that Ash was doing fine before she left. Not even sparing time to see Sing. But while on the airport, she actually saw him. Saw him seeing her off but hidden with few disguises. Guilt quirking out of her system, unable to swallow the thought that her last days with him was very incongruous to the point that they even had to hide how much they wanted apologize with each other.
Be it a stupid childish play, it's still too late. She left. That's it.
Now. To make things right, she closed her packed luggage. Too prepared to fly back to Manhattan after all these years.
She violently shoved her clothes on the second luggage. Grunting a nervous sigh while looking at his phone.
Seven years...
Seven and she didn't contact anyone after she heard that as soon as Eiji heard the news of Ash being in the ICU, he went back and stayed for good to watch over him.
Seven years...
Missed calls and messages rung around her phone but she refused to answer in fear and guilt that whoever it might be, may have something to do with Sing.
Seven years...
Now that she's grown mature and independent enough to think for herself, she decided that this is the right time to face the things she's left behind.
A thought that gave her doubt because of the years she wasted. Maybe Sing was happy from whatever he's doing without her. He's probably mad because it was rather unfair that she'd blame him for what happened between Ash and Lao. That it was supposed to be him doing the blame because it was actually his brother who died. The only family he had.
Maybe it was a bad idea. She thought. Sighing heavily from the negatives she's kept about for the past years after leaving. She felt bad. And as days go by, she feels even worse.
But now it's a matter to silence herself from complaining what lacks in her heart. She's been incomplete and all she knew that Sing was the only person who can fill that puzzle piece. Be it a closure, something that may break her heart, or something that might not. She's going to face him.
Ready or not.
Woah. Another on-the-spot near ending chapterrrr has come. 😂 Laziness overpowers your beloved author but I'll still be here, making things worse than your daily doze of expired vitamins.
Not actually laziness, but busy freakin schedule that's killing my back. Realistic thoughts clouding my even not so great imagination.
