Miyu walked down the street, a box of sweets in hand and Hibari walking next to her. She felt like she had to the whole world. For some reason, Hibari has been particularly...needy? Trying to stay next to her for as long as possible. But Miyu didn't care, heck she enjoyed it. Her thoughts wandered as she hummed a song lightly, both of them stopping at the red light.

Hibari looked down as a mother cat and her kittens stopped alongside them. He smiled lightly, bending down to touch them. Miyu gushed, "Aw, they're so cute!!!" As Miyu bend down to touch them, a wave of dizziness hit her, making her lose her balance.

Hibari's eyes widened as he watched Miyu fall towards the oncoming car.

"...Mama!!!" He quickly reached out to grab her, but someone next to him was faster and pulled Miyu in. Both of them falling onto the concrete.

"Someone call the ambulance!"

"Give them some space! Give them some space!"

"What happened?"

"I don't know, some woman fainted I think..."

"Ow!" Tsuna rubbed his head as he looked up, Hibari's face was pale white, and his hands grabbed onto Miyu's shirt, not letting go. The paramedics quickly arrived, leaving the crowd bickering about what happened.

AT THE HOSPITAL

Hibari quietly sat next to Miyu, who laid silently on the bed, her head wrapped in bandages. Tanaka, the butler walked in, "young master," he started, Hibari didn't look up, but indicated that he was listening.

"The doctors said that Miyu-sama will be fine, but while landing she hit her head on the concrete, so she has a mild concussion. She'll be in and out for a bit when she wakes up."

Hibari nodded, "...when will she wake up?"

The doctor sighed, "Right now, we're guessing that it'll take about 1-2 days, but we're not sure."

The nurse knocked on the door, "Doctor, there's someone asking for you in room 203." The doctor nodded, "Well, I have to get going if you need anything, ring for the bell."

Hibari returned his gaze to his mother, her breathing was so shallow that it seemed she could disappear any moment. The only thing indicating her life was a cold machine and her chest rising and falling.

"...Please wake up...mama."

On the third day after Miyu's unconsciousness, Hibari was starting to get really worried. Just as he was about to call the doctors, slight movement came from the figure on the bed. His eyes widened and he quickly ran to her side.

"Mother?"

Miyu's eyes fluttered open, she groaned a bit, "...Kyoya...?"

Confusion ran across Hibari's eyes, she never called him by his name, only nicknames, but he quickly dismissed it and called for the doctors.

The doctors came and checked up on Miyu, then announced that she was good to leave the hospital.

Hibari was too busy talking to the doctors and didn't notice Miyu's weird gaze as they left.

As they got into the car, Hibari went to go sit next to Miyu, just in case she needed something. Just then, Miyu tripped a bit and fell forward. Hibari quickly went to go grab her hand but was slapped away by her.
