Three days went past and Dec was the happiest he'd been in years, he'd been able to spend every waking moment with Ant, without any unwanted work interruptions, meaning he received Ants undivided attention. He loved the McPartlin's, they were so kind and welcoming, Christine treated him like a son and he'd grown really close with Sara.

It was Thursday which meant late night shopping in Newcastle shopping centre, Ant was hell bent on getting Dec some new clothes and belongings. Dec stubborn as always was incredibly reluctant to let Ant pay for it all; he'd even tried busking for the money, but the issue was his boyfriend kept attracting all the attention. Realising he didn't really have a choice in the matter Dec finally gave in and let Ant treat him.

They travelled around, popping into almost every store, even the really expensive ones that Dec would never normally have dreamed of going to. After about an hour of shopping they passed a small music shop on the a secluded corner of the town centre. Dec practically pressed his nose to the glass, bouncing up and down like an excited kid, looking at all the guitars and other instruments. Ant smiled at his boyfriends adorable childlike behaviour committing his happy face to memory.

The presenter shook his head in amusement at Dec's grin when he held the door to the music shop open for him. Dec walked in instantly running over to a classic looking acoustic guitar labelled 'Martin D42 re-imagined' Ant knew nothing about Guitars but from looking at the price, which was a little over 6 grand, and the way Dec was practically drooling over it was a strong indication it was a nice instrument.

Ant shoved his hands in his pockets and wandered around the small shop to look at the fancy equipment when the store manager approached and started talking with Dec about guitars, realising he was going to be distracted for a little while Ant sat at the small waiting seat and pulled out his phone; dialling Stephens number.

"Hey Stevie."

"Hey Ant What's it like up north? How's Dec?"

"It's fine and he's fine. Look I need a favour from you, can you order something for me? organise it so it's delivered on Declan's birthday but he can't know. "

"Sure thing... you gonna tell me what it is?"

"I'll send you the instructions as soon as I get the chance." Ant said hurriedly when he sees Dec approaching.

"Alright is that all?"

"Yes thankyou Stevie, Goodbye."

"Bye Ant."

"Who was that?" Dec asked looking at Ant curiously, holding a packet of strings in his hand.

"Just Stephen... work stuff."

"I thought you were on holiday?"

"Aye they just needed my go ahead on something, he won't disturb us again." It wasn't a total lie and his history in acting came in handy.

"Okay well I've got these so I guess we can get going back to the car now? Your Ma said something about Shepard's pie."

"Sounds good, lets go Ay." Ant replied reaching his hand out for Dec to grasp.

They walked slowly, hand in hand talking about this and that, smiling as they went. They passed many people of all shapes and sizes, Declan walked along thinking how much he'd missed Newcastle, the people, the atmosphere and especially the football. Dec saw a sausage dog walking by and turned to look, he loved dash-hounds but it meant he wasn't looking where he was going and came to a halt when he walked straight into an old lady, knocking her shopping out of her hands.

The small Geordie lad apologised quickly and bent down to pick up the women's groceries, gathering them all back into the bag, not having looked at the lady he'd so gracefully bumped into.
