I know I promised this one to yall ages ago but once again I wrote something and hated it so scrapped it and started again 😂 I don't know why but I really struggle with liking my writing at the moment, I think it's stress related 🙄

Anyway thankyou to everyone who voted (I sounds like the boys 😅) it really gave me motivation to over come this constant stream of writers block I keep getting with this story ❤️

This chapter jumps around a little at the beginning so hold on for a bumpy ride... rant over.

Enjoy ❤️

"STEPHEN! About fucking time you answered your phone where the hell are you?! I don't remember giving you holiday!" Stevie pulled phone from his ear and winced at the furious yelling of his boss.

"I'm really sorry A-Sir... uh... I'm out of town."

"What the do you mean out of town?! What the hell am I paying you for?!" The intimating deep Geordie accent was terrifying, even more so because Stephen couldn't see the older man's face.

"I'm s-sorry Mr McPartlin... I have business that urgently needs my attention." The PA rubbed his temples and shut his eyes ready for the next scolding.

"You're my PA!" Ant growled down the phone. "What business could you possibly have that gives you the right to fuck off 'out of town'?!"

"I-It's not my business sir." There was a silence, the worst kind, it was tense and unwelcome to Stephen who could feel fear rush through his body and drain the colour from his face.

It was obvious what had happened. Ant had worked it out and the presenter knew exactly how to make him suffer and scare him into obedience, for some reason though this telling off felt different. It felt more final and Stephen shuddered to think why.

"Alright Mulhern. Tell me what the fuck You are doing with my money right this minute and I will consider writing you a good reference after I fire your good for nothing ass."

Stephen swallowed thickly. Fuck.

"Look Ant, please don't be brash about this, I'll be back in a few days. We are friends right? Just give me another chance." The attempt was futile but Ant admired the man's confidence in his own value, the presenters mood though was not one that could tolerate insubordination and made him feel like yelling and punishing someone. Right now Stephen was the perfect candidate.

"You're replaceable Stephen and nobody goes behind my back. Now tell me what you are doing right this minute." The presenter's voice was emotionless and it sent shivers down the Londoners spine.

"S-Simon sent me in search of Declan."

Once against the silence descended across the phone line. Stephen felt his palms go slick and heart race... I'm so fired.

Taking a deep breath he tried one more time to appeal to the real Ant, the man behind the hard grumpy exterior. He tried to appeal, not to his boss but, to his friend.

"Okay look please Ant, help me out here, you can fire me if you want... but I need a clue. I know you know where Dec will be... just point me in the right direction-"

"Your final payslip will come in at the end of this week along with your reference. You have that time to collect your stuff from my office and the studio."

Stephens heart sunk. He had felt the seriousness in Ants threat but he didn't think he'd actually do it. "Ant please don't do this-"

"You're fired Stephen. Don't call this number again." The phone line went dead and Steven could only stare at the blank mobile screen in shock. That was it, his dream job over, just like that.
