Third pov
Candy was walking with a basket of laundry she walked through the kitchen to see Mike and Cody were sitting at the kitchen table. He was helping Cody with his homework.
Candy made her way into the laundry room and loaded the clothes in the washer and started it.
As she walked out Mike and Cody were standing up from the table.
"So did you understand everything?" He asked Cody.
"Yea I guess." Cody said dryly.
"You guess." Candy looked at Cody.
"I mean yes..," Cody corrected himself.
Cody then grabbed his backpack and quickly made his way out of the kitchen.
Candy turned to Mike.
"So how is doing?"
Mike looked at her.
"He's doing a lot better just gotta keep him focused he's smart but just apply himself."
Candy nodded.
"Yea that's what I've been telling him... So how much I owe you again?
"You don't gotta pay I don't mind especially since..."
There was a knock at the door.
Candy looked at Mike
"Give me second she made her way to the door.
She opened it to see it was Cody's friend Thomas.
"Hey Ms. Carla is Cody here?" he asked.
Thomas looked Behind Candy and noticed Mike.
"Yea he's here..Cody!" Candy called out.
Soon footsteps where heard running down the stairs with a basketball in under his arm.
"Where ya'll going Candy asked.
Cody looked at his mom with pleading eyes.
"Can Thomas and I go to the basketball court?"
Candy thought about it.
"Yes but be back before dinner and ONLY go to the basketball court." She told him.
He knew she didn't want him going to Thomas house since he lives right by the basketball court.
"Yes mam He said as him and Thomas walked out of the house.
As they walked out of the house and down the sidewalk Thomas looked at Cody and asked.
"Is that your moms boyfriend?"
Cody looked at Thomas like he was crazy.
"Uh no he's just my new tutor she hired."
"Well I couldn't tell he was lookin at her like she was a snack." Thomas joked.
"Dude that joke like that the thought of that is gross." Cody said as they continued to walk down the sidewalk.
Back inside the house Candy and Mike were in the kitchen talking.
"So when can I SEE you again?"mike asked.
Candy shrugged.
"I don't know yet I gotta check my schedule." Candy said flatly.
Mike pulled her close.
"You know the more you pull away the more you turn me on."
"Well you need to chill then." Candy smirked not trying to smile.
Then Mike went in for a kiss.
Candy pulled away.
"Mike I told you we have to keep things private between us." She told him.
"Cody is at the basketball court, and Chanel and Kiara aren't here yet." Mike said.
"What time is it?" Candy asked.
"It's 3:30." He told her.
He looked at her.
"So we have a whole hour." He said looking at her.
Candy bit her lip.
Mike took her hand as they went into the laundry room and closed the door the washer was not the only thing going.
