"So, where were you last night?" mom asked as I refreshed Shawn's Instagram page for the millionth time this morning. I'm nervous for him to put the photo up because I want to tell my family first before they see my name in the media. That's when I noticed everyone was looking at me. I smiled softly and let my hair fall in front of my face.

"Well, um. So, I've kinda been talking to this guy online for a couple of months now and we met up last night. We decided to get together" I lied as I scratched the back of my neck. That was the story Shawn and I had decided on.

"What's his name?" Sunny asked and I looked at her and sighed.

"Shawn" I answered and Sunny's jaw dropped.

"As in Shawn Mendes?" she wondered and Sky sighed.

"No, she doesn't have a chance with him. She hates him anyways" Sky responded and I smiled.

"Well actually, I pretended to hate him. So yes, it's Shawn Mendes" I admitted and the whole room went quiet. The dog had stopped barking and Thunder had stopped making baby noises. You could hear a pin drop. Simultaneously Sunny and I's phones went off. The same notification popped up 'Shawn Mendes has posted a photo'. Then my phone went crazy with Instagram notifications. I have my account on private so people can't hate on me.

"Cute photo" Sunny muttered and I sighed. I looked at the photo on my phone. It looked like we were in love, but we were just acting. The photo was Shawn and I kissing in front of the tour bus and the caption was 'You are my stars and my moon. But most importantly, I get to call you mine'. I almost laughed when I realized it was a pun for the night sky as well. I still can't stand him but might as well play the part right? I made a comment about the caption being a pun.

"So, any comments, questions, or concerns?" I asked as I broke the silence. Everyone was kind of just looking at me differently. Sky was looking at me like he was proud of me, mom and dad were just giving me the feeling they were angry and disappointed, Sunny was looking at the photo. I could tell even though she wanted us to be together she wanted it to stay as a want and not a real thing. The look on her face said so much. She was angry, sad, and confused.

"This whole time? Why didn't you tell me?" Sunny asked and I started picking my nails.

"Sunny, I can explain" I answered but my voice was barely above a whisper. I thought she would be happy but she's more disappointed. Either way, I was lying to her.

"I'm disappointed in you Rain, I thought you weren't the one to chase after celebrities" dad stated as he got up.

"Dad, I'm sorry. Why are you all so negative about this? I love him" I said and mom just shook her head.

"Honey, you broke the deal we made. You weren't supposed to date until you were two years into college. At least Sky listened" mom muttered as she got up and picked up Thunder out of his crib. Sky's been dating Alice since senior year of high school. He never told my parents about her. My phone rung and I looked at the screen, Shawn had texted me.

"That must be important, answer it" dad stated. I grabbed my phone and stormed to my room.

"You ruined everything!" I scolded as Shawn picked up my call.

"You agreed" he responded.

"You bribed me!" I spat as my vision got a little blurry.

"What even happened?" he asked and I sniffled. He doesn't need to know that I'm crying.

"My family hates me now, thank you very much" I answered as I took my phone away from my ear. I ended the call angrily. I sat down on my bed and rubbed my face. All I wanted was to be a model, I didn't think about how my choices would effect everyone else. I wiped a couple tears away and then went to the bathroom. I did my make up and brushed my teeth.

"So, you shot your shot" Sky stated as he leaned against the door frame of the bathroom. I shrugged and sighed. I can't tell him.

"There was no shooting my shot Sky, I mislead everyone because I was afraid your guys' reactions would be like this" I responded as I grabbed my hair brush.

"Sunny is torn up, she doesn't know how to feel" Sky muttered and I bit my lip. I bite my lip a lot, it's  a bad habit.

"I know, I need to talk to her" I said as I guided the hairbrush through my hair. It was quiet and then Sky walked away followed by the creaking of floor boards. I sighed and finished getting ready. Last night Shawn had warned me against going out today but I decided not to listen to him. He doesn't own me. But, I do feel bad for lying to my family.

I walked downstairs and went into the garage. The garage was open and I saw Sunny grabbing the chalk. I sighed and went to help her, she imediatley waved me away. I angrily sighed and followed her to the sidewalk where she sat down with the chalk.

"Sunny, I would've told you earlier but I couldn't" I stated as she sat down next to her.

"Why not?" she asked and I sighed.

"We weren't sure if we wanted to date or not until we met up, I'm sorry Sunny but I didn't want to say anything unless I was sure about it" I answered as I grabbed a piece of chalk.

"If it makes you feel better, we can facetime him later" I suggested as I started coloring in the heart she drew. Her cheeks went red and I smiled.

"Would that make you feel better?" I asked and she nodded shyly. I grabbed my phone and quickly sent a text to Shawn letting him know that I might facetime him later with Sunny. I watched Sunny get up and start to write something in cursive. Once I read it I smiled, it said 'The Porters'. Something about it made me feel a little bit more relieved about this whole fake dating thing.
