Noah stared up at the brick building with it's blacked out windows, the vibrant neon purple sign that announced: The Velvet Top hung in one window.

He was more nervous than he had ever been in his life because if his mother were to catch him now Noah would never see the day of light again. But he had to do this for Millie and for himself.

He slowly and careful opened the glass door and stepped inside the chilly building.

The stand where the bouncer stood was occupied by a twenty something man with muscles that could have belonged to a body builder.

Noah swallowed dryly. "Um excuse me?"

The bouncer turned to him. "Hey pipsqueak don't you think you're in the wrong place?" He asked mockingly. "This isn't Chuck-E Cheese."

Noah tried not to roll his eyes. "I'm here to see my mother." He lied, eyes wandering the place.

He caught a glance at the guy's name tag-Tayler Holder. What kind of name was Tayler? Who did he think he was Taylor Swift.

"Yeah sure, kid, that's what they all say; but since we're not even open yet I'll let it slide."  Tayler informed. "Just make it quick." He moved aside and let Noah through.

Noah hurriedly scurried past Tayler and into the main part of the building. He tried not to pay attention to the barely clad women or the poles that were hooked into the ceiling.

He was on a mission to find a particular woman who he hoped could help him.

He threaded through the women and into the dressing rooms until he saw a short woman with black wavy hair wearing a one piece white lingerie outfit.

"Winona Harbour?" Noah questioned.

The woman turned around. "Who wants to know?"

"I'm Noah, Noah Schnapp." He stuck out his hand awkwardly.

Winona looked at his hand. She shook it just to make him feel better. "Tell me, Noah, how old are you?"

"Seventeen but I'll be eighteen in October." He tried hard not to trip over his own words as he spoke.

He also was looking anywhere but her revealing and tight outfit.

Winona found this all so adorable. "Seventeen, huh? How'd you get past Tayler?" She inquired, sitting down in one of the metal chairs. She had already decided to hear the poor boy out.

Noah quickly took the seat across from her, now for him it was easier to look at her face. "I said I was looking for my mother."

"You're clever aren't you." She leaned forward a little in her chair. "Now what is it you need?"

He wasn't sure how exactly to ask the older woman this considering he'd sound like a Looney toon probably.

So he took a second to carefully form his words. "Well I'm here about my friend Millie." He said finally.

The woman smiled a little. "Oh so you want help with a crush?" She questioned. This kid was just too cute.

"No." He shook his head, pulling out his phone to find a picture. "She's my best friend." He slid his phone to her so she could see the photo.

"She's very pretty." Winona commented. "But if this isn't about a girlfriend or a crush, what is it?"

"You mean you don't recognize her?" Noah's heart dropped a little at her words.

She could hear the disappointment in  his voice. "I'm sorry, Noah, was I suppose to?"

"It's just Millie's been through a lot these past couple of years and I thought if I found her mother it'd make everything better." Noah explained. "And you're name is Winona Harbour so what is the chance of three people in the same town with the same last name."

Winona smiled sadly. "I'm sorry kid I'm not her mother." She said softly. "I am, however, her aunt."

"Aunt?" Noah repeated.

"That's the chief's daughter right? Well I've never met her but he's my brother." She took a napkin out and grabbed a pen from her boot. "I can help you though."

"Really?" Noah's eyes lit up some. "How?"

Winona finished writing whatever she was, and slid it across the table with his phone. "Her parents used to live somewhere else, kid, so you're looking in the wrong town."

Noah looked at the napkin, examining the neat writing. "Is this her?"

Winona nodded. "She lives one town over and works as a psychiatrist." She informed. "I hope that helps you. Now I must get back to practice."

Standing quickly, Noah nodded furiously. "Yes, ma'am, it does." He smiled at her. "Good day."

Winona laughed a little. "Good day, you strange boy."

Noah left the club in a hurry and quickly typed the address in on his phone.

He had it this time, the ultimate way to make Millie happy again. And Julian had said he was crazy, but look at him now.
