Asher motioned for Annie with a move of his hand. He wanted someone else there to hear what the bratty girl had to say to him.

Annie appeared moments later, brown hair up in a ponytail. To Millie she looked very young and sweet, but looks could be deceiving.

"What can I do for you, boss?" Annie asked sweetly, placing a hand to his shoulder.

Asher gave her a glance, placed a hand over her small one, and looked at Millie. "So? Out with it."

Millie felt a little nervous all the sudden. She never did stuff like this, but it had to be done.

"I want protection from Cameron Field." She said plainly after a moment. "I want someone to make sure he comes no where near my friends or I again. That goes for his lackies Jack and Nicholas too." She demanded. "Or I leak what I know."

She hated to do this to someone so close to Lilia, but Cameron was getting too bold for Millie's liking.

If she wanted to make it work with Lilia, Millie had to kill the past.

Twirling the straw in his drink, Asher seemed to contemplate the demands. "Field?" He raised an eyebrow. "Fine I will make sure the boy comes nowhere near you, but only if you get Lilia off."

"Off how?" Millie asked with a smirk.

"Don't get fresh with me, Harbour, that's my terms take it or leave it."

Smiling slowly, Millie shook his hand. "I'll see what I can do about the nasty ankle bracelet."

With that Millie left the club, heading for her home.

By the time Lilia stopped Noah, he had told her way more than needed about Maddie, Millie, her mother, you name it. He had spilled every secret he knew.

Lilia couldn't believe half of it. "Murder? Not an accidental drowning?" She asked for the millionth time.

Noah nodded. "She won't say why but Millie is convinced that Cameron Field did it." He pulled a picture from his back pocket. "Her mother." He added, having remembered Lilia previous question.

Lilia looked at the woman and smiled. She looked like Millie in the eyes. She had the same soft curls as Millie as well. The woman looked so happy.

But the more Lilia looked at her, the more she looked familiar. The memory started to form in her mind the longer she looked at it.

Lilia sat on her front porch, her pink dress muddy from the puddles in the backyard. Mama had told her not to play in them, but they had looked so appealing to her seven-year-old mind that she just had to.

For that her mother had locked her outside. She claimed Lilia was unfit for their guest to see in her pigtails and muddy dress. Lilia didn't see the fuss the woman who had entered looked no different than she did.

It seemed to take ages but soon the woman came out followed by Lilia's father. They were arguing.

"Don't take my advice, Marcus, I could care less if you leave Jane or not; but if you don't leave Jane it's going to be Lilia who suffers. She'll make her into the same slut that Jane is!" The lady yelled, her dirty blonde ponytail whipping in the wind.

Lilia's father looked madder than she had ever seen him in her life. "Vera, thank you for your concerns but I know how to run my family." Marcus replied. "Is that why you left Millie with David? Because we both know what kind of man he is!"

The woman-Vera-seemed taken back at this. "You know I had no choice." She spat acid. "He used his influence to take her from me."

Marcus looked at her. "Exactly and what you fear is happening to my daughter is probably even worse to yours." He bent closer to her unaware of his daughter's watching gaze. "He may even be making her do special things for him."

Vera slapped him across the cheek hard. "Marcus Buckingham, I will not be spoken to like that. I only came to warn you of what people are saying about Lilia and I have so good day." She started down the concrete steps briskly.

Lilia smiled at her as she past, and Vera smiled back. "You've grown a lot since the last time I saw you, Lilia, do you remember me?" She tucked a piece of Lilia's hair behind her ear.

"No." Lilia admitted shyly.

Vera smiled. "You and my little girl used to play together when you were little." She explained. "Bye, Lils."

Lilia waved and smiled. "Bye!"

Vera Harbour-Farmiga a psychologist who Lilia's father had grown up with was also Millie's mother. Lilia turned this idea over and over in her head for a moment.

She saw Vera after that time, but only when her father believed that her mother was too much. He would take Lilia to speak with Vera about what was going on. Which meant...

"I know where she lives."
