Finn hurried down the small corridor until he found his way into the small storage room where the screams originated from.

"Millie?" He called desperately, dodging mannequin hands left and right.

When he finally found her, his eyes widened. There she was, his oldest friend bent over an all too still Sadie.

"Is she?" He asked.

Millie only nodded, she was kneeling in the blood, her jeans ruined while her hand stayed on Sadie's wrist. A pulse she would never feel again.

He pried her away from the corpse slowly. "Princess, she's gone."

Millie shoved him back a little. "She's not suppose to be! She's not suppose to be dead. He was looking for me!" She shouted hysterically. "Cameron was looking for me!"

She took off running from the store like the devil was on her heels while Finn called the police.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Vera questioned the two teens. "I mean it's been over ten years. What's to say she even wants to see me?"

The woman had dreamt of one thing since her divorce: the day she could hold her daughter in her arms again.

But now that it was in her reach, Vera was nervous. What if Millie didn't want her? Maybe Lilia and Noah were lying and Millie never wanted to see her?

"Trust us." Lilia reassured her. "Millie keeps a photo of you and her on the nightstand." She wasn't lying, Millie did.

Noah pushed the older woman toward the entrance. "I'm positive she wants to see you. You're all she ever wanted."

Vera nodded slowly, tucking a few pieces of her brown hair behind her ear.

Screams filled the air coming from the small boutique followed by a girl with short dark hair running out of it, tears streaking her face.

She ran all the way across the Grove until she stopped in front of them.

Millie took one look at Noah and burst out crying again.

Noah frowned. "Baby girl, what's wrong?" He went to hug her, but Millie was no longer looking at her.

"M-Mom?" The word felt heavy on Millie's tongue.

An emotional word she hadn't used in a long time.

Vera smiled softly. "Hi, Millie." She checked her daughter over. "You're so big and so beautiful."

Millie threw her arms around her mother and sobbed quietly into her shoulder. "Mama."

Vera held her tight. "I got you, ladybug, Mama's got you." She kissed her head. "What's wrong?"
