This is part of my reflection on the final day of one of my devotionals.
The Perseverance to Proper Healing
Before January ended, another thing I learned was that there are no short-cuts when it comes to healing. I do not want to look back at this point since I am aware I was not ready, but an amazing feeling suddenly came because of 2 things. First, I had the courage to decide and continue to give up, and let go of that thing I never thought I couldn't able to. Second, how things became unexpectedly better, surely because despite of the downfalls I still have, there was a part of me who chose to look for God and ran to Him especially temptations were on its way. I was able to see clearly and fully His words, as if those words were stated right into my face.
Now that this devotional reaches its end, I want to thank You Lord for being with me on this journey. I want to congratulate and hug myself for the courage. I want to say thabk you to that person who hurted me. Without this incident, I will not be able to reflect something about myself, my sins and I will not be able to see and understand fully how God is really Good to me, all this time.
Even if the devotional ends here, the journey never ends here. Many things will happen. Pain, grief, anger and disappointment will come anytime. Temptations will slowly attempt to indulge me to choose and take the healings of this world. Let me ask for more strength especially on the moments that these things will come. Courage to always choose to declare and embrace of having a better state of my heart by choosing God's ways. Sight to continuously see God's love, and faithfulness to me. And to embrace God's promises.
