"The Consequences"

Zac was looking around the hall for Jess but she was nowhere to be found. 

Standing in front of the glass window Jess was immersed in deep thoughts ,it was strange, really strange. Clenching her chest she repeatedly said NO she didn't even know what was happening she has never been the one to let people in her life so easily, specially those that she hated.

"Jess what are you doing here" Dany called her and she she got her senses back, she strolled towards him and they entered the hall once again.

He asked her for a dance, and she said yes, she needed something to get her out of all the chaotic thoughts, and feelings she wasn't supposed to feel.

Still her mind remained equipped and she didn't realized she was staring at him, both of them were moving with small steps one after another, 

Maybe it was the heat, or maybe confusion which caused Dany to stare at her still, he never let her know about his feelings as he himself acknowledged it just as a crush,

Call this an action of mere second or nostalgic feelings, that he was determined for once.

Zac turned towards the door once again in a hope that she'd enter when his gaze landed down the side, he watched her with Dany, it was quite complicated for him to understand how she could not be affected by everything that happened few minutes ago.

Jess faced his direction as the waltz changed and for a second there was a string, she turned her face towards Dany, leaning in, without having a second thought, her heart was beating erratically as if it knows something bad is going to happen, and it did

Dany was pushed away from her hold, gripping through his legs, he controlled his stance, Jess diverted her eyes from him to a figure of person who pushed him.

Her eyes raised with surprise and hesitation but her mouth mustered up to yell out 

"Have you lost your mind?"  Her arms extended towards Dany but before they could reach him Zac grasped it taking her out of the hall- hastening his steps, huffing through his breathe.

 She smacked his fist telling him to let go and he did once they reached outside.

"What the hell are you trying to do now?" she caressed her fist while raising her voice maintaining a distance of few inches away from him.

"Me? what the hell were you doing Jess"he said irritatingly still keeping his voice composed.

"Why does it even concern you" she spat on her face and turned around, and he once again grasped her arms turning her around to face him.

"Talk to me, -- don't ignore me, not right now" he said through his gritted teethe trying his best to not yell.

"You know I like you, then why -" he paused, as she passed a crooked laugh, 

 "A+ for your acting Zac, and for God sake stop touching me" pulling her hand away she turned around.

He gave her a look of disbelief,

"If you think this will stop me so I won't, until you tell me a valid reason to do so" he stated causing her to stop on her track.

"Why? because you like me? can you stop with this rubbish" she walked towards him.

He ruffled his hair mimiking her stance "What on earth do I have to do for you to believe me?"

"You don't have to do anything now, you should've done it way back" her reply made him frown.
