All's well that ends well to end up with you.

-Lover

The car honked for nth time outside his door, A voice squealed from the car's window

"Zac hurry up we need to get off"

Jess was furious, whereas Zac continued to fidget around his room, grabbing his wallet and bag, he finally came out causing her to sigh in relive ;however, instead of getting in the car he paused on his steps and went back inside.

Jess huffed in response and got out of the car, just when she was about to knock his door, he stepped out in haste extending his hands towards her holding a bouquet of flower, he peeked through his closed eyes after gaining no response.
But he didn't met with an angry face, instead she was trying her hard not to smile.

"Pretty flowers for pretty lady" he said cheekily earning a grin from her.

"Remember, this won't always work" she grabbed the flowers from his hand.

It was the day for final round, there was about half an hour left for the performance, both of them were sitting on the benches between the corridor.

"How are you feeling?" Zac asked her out of concerns as she constantly tapped her foot on the ground.

"Nervous, " she stated causing him to hold her hands as a sign of assurance.

"The last time I was this close to my achievement was in high school, and it was-" she paused a while before looking at him
"-ruined'' She exhaled out heavily.

"I am sorry for that" Zac whispered

"It was not your fault" she interjected while facing her causing a frown to appear on his face.

"Lily told me everything" she replied after a long pause prompting him to look away

"You are still protecting her" she nudged him to look at her.

"I know what she did was wrong but it's just like that, we get selfish for the person we want" she kept rubbing circles on the top of his palm.

"Do you remember how you punched Dany when he was about kiss me, he's your best friend but still you did that, why? because that's how we human are" He lifted his head with a blank face.

"You called her here, didn't you?" her mouth turned into an awe, but she managed to mask it with a sign of ineffectiveness.

"Wwhy-why would you say that" her stuttering didn't help the situation and he scooted close to her.

"Because you are pretty bad at hiding things" he pinched her cheeks as she pouted,

"Oh so Mr. I Know Everything" removing his hand from her cheeks she folded her arms.

"What else is there that I tried to hide from you and failed" he chuckled on her response, and ruffled her hair.

"Your feelings" she stared at him quizzically, as he arched his eyebrow.
