"I'll wait for you" Zac bowed down to her level and kissed her forehead.
"And I know you'll come to me for real this time"
A faint sound echoed in the air.
She woke up immediately
"What was that?"
Extending her hand to seize the alarm clock, she felt a sharp pain on her forehead , prompting a scream out of her mouth.
The door of the room opened as Joohyun entered to a sight of mess, pillows on the floor, blanket thrown and alarm clock broken.
At the edge of bed Jess was sitting with her hands above her forehead, she took cautious steps towards her,
"What happened" Joohyun nudged her to look above as she lifted her chin.
"I don't know" she said in an almost inaudible tune,
"It's like I don't remember something I really need to " she messed up her hair out of frustration.
"Did something happen last night?" Jess muttered causing her to shake her head in a NO.
"I just came home, I had a meeting with officer" Joohyun replied.
Lifting her hand to her face she tried to inhale deeply,
'maybe it's just my hallucinations'
Chapter 31 : The truth
As usual the cafe was crowded, students rushing in and out, worker on there haste; however, three people were sitting in complete silence.
"I am leaving" Jess stood up but Dany held her hand,
"I bet you need to listen to her" He shifted his stance signalling towards the girl who was lowering her head even more.
"I'm leaving I guess you two should be alone" Dany stood up and before Jess could get a hold of him, he exited out.
Jess folded her arms, and scooted over ready to leave.
"I guess it's time for me to tell you those things that you don't know" Lily muttered quickly however it was audible enough for Jess to stay.
"It was the day after you found Zac on the practice room, it all started -"
Flashback
Zac was sitting in the classroom right beside Jess's bench, he knew she would be back here to lock the doors, school was over.
He placed white flowers with a note beneath,
"I'll be at your place by 8, be ready"
He knew how she would not even take him serious, but it was worth a try; also, he himself was as stubborn as a stone.
Before he could cover things up, Dany barged inside.
"What are you doing her and oooh what's this" he grabbed the flowers.
"Flowers? for who?" Lily interjected right behind them
Zac looked at them with a slick expression, of course he didn't tell anyone about Jess and telling them will mean that he has likes someone who basically didn't even concern about his existence would be a total insult.
"I was j-just planning on you know-um" he was finding an excuse
"Did you do this to make her fall for you?" Lily spoke and Zac nodded in agreement as he found a perfect escape.
"So did you get her this time" Dany interrupted.
Three of them were engaged in conversation, but it looked like 2 of them were accusing the one, Dany was smirking to himself as he continued questioning Zac, Lily however left the room.
"For how long are you going to hide this from me " Dany said cheekily causing him to stutter.
"W-what" shifting on his stance he looked away.
"You like her - don't you?" Dany chuckled causing a shock on his face.
"If you like her, you need to show it through, there is noway of treating a person bad and expecting good in return" He placed his hand on Zac's shoulder.
"You've got a competition here, let's see who wins" Dany winked.

Once again silence occupied the atmosphere, Jess arched her eyebrow and looked at Lily demanding an elaboration.
"I liked him since middle school but the part where you arrived in his life wasn't bearable for me" Lily said without looking at her.
" It was me who ignited everything else in that fire, even later on I told Zac that you threw his flower away while I was the one who hid it, even I took you with me to a party on the same night" she exhaled deeply, while Jess was peering her with whole concentration.
"And Zac waited for you outside your house." she mumbled, voice disappearing in the end.
Lily further told her about how Zac would try to communicate with Jess through her but she never delivered them, instead she distanced Jess away from him claiming that he is just doing it for his ego.
"And that made him have resentment against you, I was selfish as i wanted him for me,I thought parting both of you will make me get him, but still after all these years he longed for you, he still came back to you."
Jess was shocked after hearing this, one by one everything came as a bomb blasting on her head,
"So he never-" she paused,
"He never did- he never."
Lily looked down.
"But even though that night when he made a joke of me, how would you explain that?" Jess asked out of suspicion.
Lily heaved a sigh,
"he intended it, but he wasn't a hand behind it , not a single one"
Her shoulder sank down, she looked at her quizzically.
"Ww-hat do you mean?"
"I was behind it, he didn't do it, he knew about it but he didn't participated in any of this"
Hearing her last words , Jess put her hand on her mouth , she was standing in awe.
For all the years she hated him to her utmost depth, and now it came out that he didn't deserve all of it.
She felt pathetic, guilty, resentful but this time she didn't gave up.
As a feeling more stronger than these resided inside her, now that she knew all of it her affection for him grew even more, she checked her watch and it was past 9, there performance was fixed at 10 30, and before that she need to find him, she needed to tell him how she feel,
She needed to, wait not need but she ought to confess him.
