Flashback

School ferret party

Muffled music was pulsing along as Jess shifted on her stance and folded her knees while sitting near the window, she heard footsteps rushing upwards.

Trying her hard she balanced herself to stand up but her legs gave up, so she just kept sitting there idly.

Zac took a step on the last stair and heaved a sigh, just as he raised his head he saw a figure kneeling in front of window.

"Excuse me?" his voice echoed in silence causing her to divert her attention on him, she raised her head a bit, eyed him from top to bottom then jolted her head away from him.

"What happened?" Dany arrived behind him, Zac kept a finger on his mouth whispering something, signalling him to leave.

"Jess?" he took a small stroll towards her.

"I am not supposed to talk to you" she spat without looking at him, gulping a sip from the beer can,

"Are you perhaps drunk?" He chuckled as he sat down beside her.

"What if I am" she replied now facing him

"Well!" he gazed deeply in her orbs before speaking again.

"It depends if you remember things when you are drunk or not" his lips pursed slightly as she started to lean forward slowly.

"What if I don't" she was almost too close for him, he stayed in same posture not leaning nor backing away.

His heart was beating erratically, even if he didn't want to admit, her closeness was driving each and every cell on his body insane. He could feel her breathes, ragged and firm, inching closer with each second.

Eyes hooded to the point that every vision went blur, he leaned in until it was apparent, just a bit close and he would have kissed her, however, the impact didn't came instead she dozed off on his shoulder.

After a hard time of taking all of this together, he tilted his head laving a dry chuckle
"Shit! I fell for her again!"

This was one of those moments which could have never faded away from Zac's memory, he knew that she might have forgot about it but maybe this was one of those many reason which kept his feelings going on for so long

Chapter 30: My Love

"And I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and I'd choose you."
