Emma felt like she had just been kicked in the stomach. She looked at Regina. "My father?"
Regina kept her gaze down. "I'm not lying."
Emma looked at Regina. "I believe you."
Regina lifted her gaze. She looked at Emma. "You do?"
Emma nodded. "As sheriff-"
"Hero." Regina corrected.
Emma nodded. "I have to have a talk with him. Okay? I also have to talk to you. In private. So we can discuss what exactly he did to you."
Regina nodded and let out a shaky breath. "I know. I know the drill."

Regina laid on her bed. Her arms wrapped around her waist. With Emma's father behind bars the whole town expected a battle between Emma and Regina.
Regina always gave them what they wanted. She fought Emma today. She wasn't healed from what Emma's father did to her. Emma didn't even try to her hurt. Regina managed to that all on her own. She tried to fight Emma. She just seemed to make the most clumsy moves she could possibly do. Everyone in town still hates her. Emma was confused it seems, as to why Regina was fighting her, but she soon seemed to realize that Regina was just falling back into their usual routine.
Regina now laid curled up on the bed. She was in extreme pain. Emma wasn't here to help her. These injuries couldn't heal with Emma's help. Regina had to manage the pain on her own. She closed her eyes and let the tears fall.
Regina was the villain. She didn't want to be anymore. She knew that's what the town expected from her. To be the villain. Regina didn't want to anymore.
Regina stretched out and instantly regretted doing so. She laid back on her pillow and looked at her sheets. Blood had seeped onto her bedding. She sighed and closed her eyes. She didn't even want to bother with it anymore.
A scream rang through the woods outside her house. Regina shot up. She let out a cry of pain but got to her feet and ran outside as fast as she could. She ignore her pain and saw a young boy in a tree. A man underneath it threatening him.
She ran over and shoved the man away. He slammed into her and she felt a knife cut into her skin. She threw him off. "Leave now." She snapped. "Or something very bad will happen to you." She snapped.
She didn't even realize the town had followed the scream and surrounded the house. Including Emma. The boy slipped from the tree. Regina caught his weight. She landed on her knees and the boy quickly ran from her to Emma's side.
Emma looked at Regina. Regina looked at the man. "I'll tell you one more time. Leave." She sneered through her teeth.
He grinned. "So this is where you live? Look around you villain. The whole town knows." He snapped and gripped her chin tightly. He pulled her to her feet roughly.
Emma stormed over and quickly pulled him off of her. She pulled out handcuffs and cuffed him before he even realized what was going on.
Regina looked at Emma. Her vision blurred and the last thing she remembered before passing out was the grass beneath her body and Emma looked at her with worry.
Regina woke up on her own bed. Emma sat beside her. The boy from the tree stood at the end of the bed.
Emma held a damp cloth to her forehead. "Thank you Regina."
Regina looked at Emma with confused eyes. "For?"
"You saved my son." Emma said. She pulled the cloth away. "You took a pretty good cut from him."
Regina looked at Emma's son. She looked at Emma. "They know where I live."
Emma nodded. "They also know that you're not as bad as you seem."
Regina let out a small smile. "I guess not."
Emma returned the cool cloth to Regina's forehead. "Why did you try to fight me again?"
Regina looked down. "It's what they all expect."
Emma nodded. "You didn't want to. I knew. I could see it on your face. You don't have to do what they expect Regina. You know that right?" Emma stood up. "You control your own future not them."
Regina moves her face away from Emma. She closed her eyes. "I don't know how to be anything else. I only know how to be a villain."
