Henry looked at his mother. "She's not a bad person."
Emma shook her head and sat beside him. "No she not."
Regina stirred at the sound of their voice and woke up. She sat up and looked at Emma. "You look pale." She mumbled.
"I look pale? Look in the mirror." She said with a slight smile.
"How's you're mother?" Regina asked and pulled her knees up to her chest. She rested her head on her arms.
"She's fine. Thank you for your help." Emma said.
Regina nodded. She unconsciously rubber her wrists gently and gazed at the window.
Emma only then noticed the thin silver lines that went up Reginas wrists. Under the bruises she could see them.
"Henry it's time for you to go to bed." Emma said.
Henry nodded and kissed Emma's cheek. "Night mum. Night Regina." He said and walked out.
Regina looked at him as he walked away.
Emma took her wrist. "Regina you cut?"
Regina looked at her wrist. "Not for a long time." She said. "When Daniel passed away I started up again. I've managed to stop since then."
Emma looked at the thin lines. "Why? Why did you cut?"
Regina touched one of her scars. "To take the pain away I guess. To feel better."
"Did it help?" Emma asked.
Regina shrugged. "Somedays it helped. Others it didn't. I don't know. In the long run no. In a short moment yes."
Emma ran her fingers over the thin silver lines. "Are you scared to show them?"
Regina shook her head. "No. They show my past I guess. They're apart of me. Sometime i get upset because I know some of them are on there for stupid reason but they are on there. There's nothing I can do to fix it now."
"Was it only because of your sons death?" Emma asked.
Regina smiled slightly. "My life wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. No it wasn't just Daniel." Regina said.
Emma reaches over slowly and touched Regina's lip. "Where did this scar come from?"
Regina pushes Emma's hand away gently. "My mother was not a very happy person. Zelena left before I got a chance."
Henry knocked on the door. "Mum my windows shattered."
Emma walked to the door. She opened it. "What?"
"My window?" Henry looked behind him. "It's shattered."
Emma looked at Regina. "I'll be back."
Regina watched her walk away. "I'm sorry." She said under her breath. It was her fault all these bad things were happening to Emma and her family.
Regina laid back on the pillow. She closed her eyes and soon fell into a quiet sleep. She woke up to a boom of thunder. Regina sat up. She just have had a restless sleep because her cut on her ribs had the stitches ripped out and bled on the sheets and her shirt. "Shit." She mumbled and got out of the bed. She began to strip the bed. Her injuries begging her to stop. Regina wanted to do her best to help Emma. After all, she did take a villain in.
Regina stopped for a moment and leaned her head on the mattress and let out a breath, before resuming her work.
There was a knock on the door. Regina stood up and pulled the pile of sheets into her arms. "Yes?"
Emma walked in. She looked at the bed. "You pulled your stitches?"
Regina shrugged. "I guess I didn't sleep too well."
"Zelena told me to make sure you didn't pull your stitches. I-"
"Don't have to do anything. I've got it handled." Regina said. "It's fine. These stitches are on my side. If I need new ones I'll do it myself. On my face I can very well see. I can see my side Emma." Regina said and Emma took the sheets from her.
"At least let me take a look." Emma said and set the pile of sheets in a laundry basket in the corner of the room. Regina sighed heavily and sat on the bed.
Emma walked over and lifted Regina's shirt slightly. "It's not infected yet. That's a good sign. Your bruises are healing well." Emma said and lightly touched Regina's skin.
Regina looked at the cut. She's had worse. "Are you satisfied?"
Emma dropped her shirt and stood up. "I just wanted to help." She mumbled and walked to the door. "My apologizes."
