13 | Hound Dog

"alrighty Luce, see you later I guess" I hung up the phone and skipped outside to sit on the porch with Ben.

My parents weren't going to be home till Sunday so I invited everyone over for a little get-together.

I sat in the chair next to him and watched as he took a long drag from his cigarette.

"So, the boys and Lucy are gonna be heading over here soon" I said quietly.

Ben smiled and nodded.

He took quite the liking to Gwil and Rami once they actually got to know him a bit.

He was kinda like a missing piece of our odd puzzle.

But Lucy however, he didn't know her very well but Lucy said she wanted to apologize and try to be a tad bit nicer to Ben this time.

Ben stomped out his cigarette and we went back inside.

I quickly tidied up a few things and changed into something more casual.

I heard a knock at the door and I ran downstairs.

I answered the door and pulled everyone inside.

Lucy ran over to the kitchen and went into one of the high cabinets by the fridge where my parents kept the alcohol.

Rami walked over to the counter to get a drink and Gwil stayed behind with Ben and I on the couch.

I wasn't talking very much but Gwil and Ben we're getting to know eachother a bit better.

I was more focused on how much liquor Lucy and Rami were putting into their systems.

A few hours had passed and I was slightly suspicious about Lucy.

She kept looking at Ben funny and she was acting all lovey dovey around him but I tried to brush it off as her trying to be nice.

Ben politely excused himself to go outside for a cigarette.

Lucy followed closely behind him.

I just ignored it and played it off as me being protective and paranoid.

I didn't have much to do since Rami was passed out on the floor and Gwilym was playing his guitar.

He brought that thing everywhere.

I went to the fridge and grabbed a couple cokes for me and Ben

As I got closer to the door to go outside I heard quiet chuckling and Lucy was talking to Ben about something.

I was glad that they were getting along so well now.

I opened the door but I was looking at the bottles of coke in my hand.

"Hey Benny, I got you the coke you asked fo-"

I looked over from the two bottles and the sight I was greeted with made me sick.

Lucy had Ben pinned to a wall with her hands wrapped tightly around his wrists and her mouth was connected to his in a sloppy kiss.

I dropped both the bottles of coke and they shattered on the ground which got the attention of both Lucy and Ben.

I locked eyes with Ben and he could tell I was hurt.

"Joey, it's not what you think-"

I cut him off by storming back inside and stomping up to my room.

I could hear Gwilym calling for me but I just ignored him completely.

I slammed my door shut and flopped down on my bed.

I buried my head in one of my pillows and broke down crying.

I couldn't believe that Ben just let something like that happen.

He told me loved me.

He told me he cared about me.

I lifted my head up from my pillow when I heard soft knocking on my door.

"Come in" I answered weakly.

Gwil poked his head in the door and sat next to me on my bed.

I had my knees curled up to my chest and I was hiding my tear stained face.

He put an arm around my shoulder and put his head on mine.

"What happened?" He asked quietly.

I took a deep breath and cleared my throat.

"When I went out to give Ben his drink Lucy had her tongue down his throat"

Gwil held me closer to him and I cried into his shoulder.

We both heard someone walking up the stairs but I was sure it wasn't Lucy and Rami was probably throwing up in the bathroom.

"Joey, I know you're in there please just let me talk to you." It was Ben. Of course it was Ben.

Gwil gave me a reassuring look and he walked out of the room to go talk to Ben.

Gwil drove Rami and Lucy home and I was laying in my bed staring at the ceiling.

I couldn't kick Ben out of my house because his house wasn't a safe environment and I'm not that cruel anyway.

Lucy was drunk and probably didn't recognize the severity of the situation.

But Ben still let it happen.

I sighed with frustration and turned onto my other side.

If I never invited anyone over this would've never happened.

Ben kept calling me and tried so many times to apologize but I decided it would be better to go over this in the morning.

Detective Pikachu was actually a good movie
