Chapter 10: The Duover Date

*Melinas POV*

It's been a week since cheer tryouts, I had gained 300k subs over the past month and I was so close to one million.

Just as I was filming my videos I got a text.

"Sorry guys I gotta check this," I apologized to my camera.

It was Joey, of course.

*Hey, u me, a picnic tonight? I'll pick u up at 7 k, k L:*

I blush at the camera and start to show them the convo with Joey. What was I doing. The most embarrassing part was I kept the clip in the video.

Once I uploaded the videos I kept getting spammed with comments. People started saying that Joey and I were going out and some people were making up ship names for us like Jelina or Moey. What have I gotten myself and Joey into?

Hey at least my video was going viral.

I had to start getting ready asap so to keep it cute and simple I put on a floral cropped tank, high wasted jean shorts, black vans, and my flower crown. I was feeling extra pretty so that's why I decided to wear it. I kept my makeup simple as usual, and packed my shoulder bag with all of my girly essentials.

*Joeys POV*

I had to make sure this date was going to be perfect since the last one obviously wasn't.

I put on a nice button up shirt with jeans and dress shoes. I fixed my hair so it was perfect, and I left at 5:30 because I wanted to get there on time.

When I arrived at Melina's house I rang the bell and her mom answered.

"Hi Joey how are you?" she exclaimed.

"I'm doing good, um I was looking for Melina, she's home right?" I replied.

"Yeah let me go help her out here."

She looked beautiful. She was wearing something pretty get simple. That would probably be my favorite outfit she's worn so far.

I open the car door for her and help her inside.

"Where are we going?" she asked curiously.

"To your new favorite place." I smirk.

*Melinas POV*

When we got to our destination I was excited yet disappointed. It was a mountain. Joey helped me out of the car and grabbed the picnic basket. We headed up the mountain slowly yet surely. As we were walking we talked about our interests and what we wanted to do after high school, if we wanted to continue our YouTube careers or not.

When we make it up the mountain Joey lays out the picnic blanket and opens up the basket. There is a bottle of white wine, sandwiches, and a bag of potato chips.

"How romantic of you," I jokingly remark.

"Hey your lucky I even brought us wine." he scolds.

Just as we started to eat the sun set. It was beautiful.

"Wow," I said in awe.

"Now you know why I said this was going to be your favorite spot." he smiles.

I took a picture of the sunset and posted it on Instagram. Joey poured us two glasses of wine and we cheersed to the beautiful sunset and to a date that actually worked out well.

*Joeys POV*

We stared into each other's eyes as the moon rose. The scene was perfect, no body was around, no interruptions, just her and I.

I leaned to steal the kiss that I deserved/needed or not needed. It was a slow passionate kiss that I would cherish for a long time.
