Chapter 11

We got out off the ship tied it down then went to exploring. The island looked better then it did from afar and wasn't as run down as I thought.

"I'll catch up with you later make sure to come back before sundown" Edmund said.

I nodded.

This town was probably the most nicest out of the ones I've been on except for port royal because well it's port royal.

I was hoping to run into Henry so I can thank him once again. While walking I noticed some of the crew from Henry's ship and some said hello and some gave me dirty looks. While we needed more supplies I was running out of money and I have to save as much as I can.

This town had a different number of people there were people who were dressed up fancy (must be rich), regular folk who work in the shops, and those who are beggars. I gave my go and went into a place where others gather to get drunk of their rum hoping to find a decent person to get some information about this town. This place was not the best to get questions answered but I did have to start some where.

I walk in and it was madness. There were people falling of their chairs, fighting every where, and it was just complete madness.

I saw a couple of younger people and they looked nice and not drunk well not super drunk where they are not going to know where they at.

I walked over to them and sat down and luckily they were not drunk well yet. They look like they are on their first drink.

"Hello I was just wondering if you mind telling me what this town is called I have only arrived ?" I asked.

"This is vergarge the town of many many people and it is good for those who may not have a place to go because there is something always to do"The girl said.

"It is a great place to be except for all the drunks but other than that it is a great place to stay" the other girl said.

"Thank you for the information I will pass it along to my friend whom I am traveling with".

"I'm Rachel and this is Serena" Rachel said.

"I'm Evergreen and thank you once again for all the information".

"It's no problem and if you need anything else just let us know and don't hesitate to say hello if you see us around" Serena said.

I said farewell to them.

I ran into Edmund and gave him the information provided to me by Rachel and Serena and he was pleased to know the information and he was able to scavenge us some food and we found somewhere to sit and ate.

While we were sitting I saw Henry.

"Henry!" I yelled.

He looked in our direction and waved and started to walk in our direction.

"Henry it is so good to see you" I said.

"Same to you it is nice to know that you are still alive because I do feel guilty for just leaving you like I did but somethings have to be done".

"No it's no problem and I understand and plus I did find a new traveling companion".

Edmund got up "hi Henry I have heard a lot about you from Evergreen and I'm Edmund".

"Good to meet you Edmund and thank you for taking care of little evergreen it is good to know that she is not traveling alone".

"How the crew?" I asked.

"The same" Henry laughed.

"Oh at least they haven't changed I guess".

"Yeah but I have to get going and it was so good to see you again and I'm so glad that you are doing great and are not traveling alone".

"It was great to see you again and thank you so much for everything you've ever given me and for taking me in".

"No thank you necessary it was the least I can do".

We hugged good bye and him and Edmund said there goodbyes and he was off. I was hoping that I would see him again very soon.

"Evergreen... why did he leave you on your own?" Edmund asked.

"Because his parents and my father have a connection just like you and he just didn't feel comfortable I guess with having me on the ship".

"Who are his parent if you don't mind me asking".

"Just don't mention it to anyone else and if we do run into him again don't tell him I told you because I don't know if he wants others to know".

"I promise and who do I talk to besides you".

"William and Elizabeth Turner are his parents".

"Ahh it makes sense I have heard about them and I can see why it could be an awkward situation because you never know".

"Yeah because I don't know how the relationship is between them now a days and Henry has been in my life for as long as I can remember. If he thought that it would make an uncomfortable situation then he is just looking out for me".

"Henry seems like a good fellow and knows good judgement. He definitely is looking out for you".

"Yeah he is and he was always there for me growing up especially when my mom would leave he would do his best to make sure I was well taken care of".

"That is good that you have some one like that in your life because I wish my parents just didn't leave me but I guess everything happens for a reason".

"It does but you never know if we find my dad we will probably find yours. You can get the chance to talk to him again only if you are up to it".

"You are probably right and it would be good to see him again".

Edmund and I were having such a nice talk and opening up more with each other.

As mush as I wanted to find my dad it seemed like Edmund wanted to find his also and finding his dad was more important to me because he needs answers just like I do but helping him is more important then my needs.

The town where we were at was really nice and for some reason I never wanted to leave because it just felt similar to my home and I was missing home.

As much as I do want to just backtrack and return home and sleep in my own bed I knew that continuing on was the best for me and helping out Edmund because he has helped me so much this journey.
