Chapter 29

The more I thought about the risks involving telling Jack who I am the more I realized I can't let fear come in the way. I just had to find the right moment when he was alone and just start to ask him questions.

I noticed Jack go into his quarters and it was the moment that was right.

"Edmund I think I am going to do it" I said to him.

"Are you ready? Like really ready?"

I shook my head.

"Do you want me to accompany you?"

"No and I have to ask there could be risks involving this and I don't want it to affect you".

"Don't worry about me this is about you. I will deal with whatever is coming and I just want you to be happy".

"Thanks I am going to go and do this".

"Good luck".

I went towards the quarters and just stood in front of the door. I took a deep breath. Made sure I had the doll in my bag with me.

"Captain Jack can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Come in" he replied back to me.

I entered and was getting super nervous but his quarters were interesting. There were just stuff everywhere.

He sat down "now what can I do for you?"

"You just have been looking at me weird ever since I got on this ship and I was just wondering why is that".

"You remind me of someone or something and it has been annoying me".

"Who do you think I remind you of?"

"Just an old friend I just can't think of who".

This was it. I was going to say my mothers name to him. I was going to let it out. It was time.

"Do I remind you of...... of" I was just about to say my mothers name but then Gibbs came running in.

"Captain Captain it is the the..." he said.

"Well come on spit it out".

"The Dutchman".

My face went blank.

"Gibbs why are we worrying about the Dutchman isn't it Turner".

"Oh captain right it is just the ship that startles me".

"Umm Turner is not the captain anymore". I said.

Jack stood up "what are you saying?"

"Well Edmund and I spent time on the ship and well you may not like to hear it but Davy Jones is the captain".

Gibbs yelled for Edmund.

"Yes father" Edmund said as he arrived.

"You really spent time on the Dutchman with Davy Jones and survived" Gibbs said.

I mouthed sorry.

Edmund shook his head "yeah we did Jones liked us and he damaged my boat and felt bad and offered to take us aboard the Dutchman until we reached closer to land then he let us go".
