Chapter 4

Hey srry this is taking so long I've been getting everything ready for a huge trip soon.  

My friend stalkerchic1 is helping me now just wanted to give her the credit she rightly deserves

Chapter 4

I fell asleep soon after my parents left. I had this weird confusing dream with Iris and Josh in it. It made no sense but I have those kinds of dreams often. I woke up an hour or two later and took Josiah's temperature. It kept going up so I gave him fever medicine. When he fell asleep I did again.

Josh's POV

I rang Iris's doorbell. She was a friend of mine and I needed to ask her for something.  

" Oh hi Josh." she said opening the door. " Come in."  

" Thanks." I replied.  

" What do you need? You don't come around much anymore." she said after we sat down.  

" Well can I... get Cari's number and address?" I could feel my face heating up.  

" So you do like her. I knew it." she said a proud look in her eyes. I rolled mine.  

" I don't even know now can you give me her info please?" almost begging.  

" Sure." she gave me all the info and I headed out.

Cari's POV

I woke up startled by a knock on the door. ' Who could that be. ' I checked the time. My parents should have been home for another half hour and the both had a key. I went downstairs and looked through the peephole. A gasp escaped my mouth.  

I opened the door. " Josh?!" I asked.  

" Yep." he said shyly.  

" How'd you get my address?" I was in shock.  

" Iris." I knew it.  

" Of course."  

" She gave me your number to." He quickly added.  

" I'm gonna get her tomorrow." I mumbled.  

" SO. How's your little brother." he asked.  

" Good. Got a fever but its going down." I replied.  

He nodded. " Good."  

" Wanna go outside?" I asked.  

" Uh, sure." we went over to my porch swing. We sat down not saying anything. I just stared up at the sunset. I was confused but tried not to think to much. It was so quiet I heard someone jogging a few houses over. As the footsteps got louder I could see who it was. It was Iris out on her daily jog. She was a total health junky. She waved and then stopped when she realized who I was with. Her eyes bulged then she started laughing. She kept going till she was rolling on the sidewalk. Josh got up.  

" I should go now." he said.  

" Bye." I went inside hearing Iris' laughter.

The next morning the first thing I did when I say Iris was smack her head. It was a bad habit.  

" Ow. What was that for?" she yelled.  

" Yesterday." I said calmly.  

" Oh yeah. SHe said stifling a giggle.  

" Yep. Pretty embarrassing."  

I went over to say hi to Nate.  

" Hey." I called trying to get his attention. He was talking to my friend Chuck. I went over and gave them a hug. Chuck is so tall he has to bend down to give me a hug.  

" HEy guys." They couldnt respond because I got a phone call from my my mom. I quickly answered.  

" Cari. I'm coming to pick you up. It's Josiah."

Srry its so short. but bye now.
