I'm super ooper srry I haven't posted in forever! I had midterms and been super busy. :( but I'm back!

Chapter 10 ( Finnaly!!!)

Joshua's POV

I slid Cari the box. I looked out the window wondering what she would do. I heard the lid slide off and her breath suck in as she gasped. I could hear her pull out the charm bracelet. It had plenty of charms already on it.

Caridad's POV

The bracelet in my hand meant so much. Each charm was a bright memory. One was a simple emerald, my birthstone. The next was a lunch tray. I giggle remembering the day he dumped his on me in first grade. I quickly noticed another food item. A small can of soda with fake bubbles pouring out. Another charm was a little volleyball. A spider and shake followed. My personal favorite was the one that said ' hey cutie' in purple rhinestones. Purple's my favorite color.

He must have put so much thought into this. He remember every moment we had together good and bad funny and embarrassing, and it was all here in this charm bracelet.

I started to tear up. I looked up at Joshua and smiled big. He wiped my eyes and whispered " You like it?"

I frowned " No." his expression dropped. " I love it!" I handed it to him and he put it on for me.

" Hey lovebirds don't make me tell your parents!" my older cousin Kris threatened. I didn't understand why my parents had there recently injured child and some guy they barely know go in a separate car. I smiled to myself.

" Don't worry." I said. We were at a red light so I shoved my wrist in Kris' face " Look at my charm bracelet!" We all started laughing and then a phone rang. Josh took his phone out and answered it. " Hey Bryson... It was hilarious! She freaked out!... Just did... Yup. Hey I gotta go. I'll talk later. See ya later dude." he hung up and put his phone away. I smacked him in the arm.

" Ow! What was that for?!" he asked rubbing his arm.

" For talking about me! I'm right next to you!"

He pouted his lips " I'm sorry. Bryson did ask."

" Aw! Is wittle Joshie sowwy?" I asked sarcastically. We both started laughing again.

" Titi look!" I had shown almost everyone my new charm bracelet. I had just shown my Titi Linda.

" Oh my gosh! It's so cute! What are all the charms?" we where in her tv room and I explained all the charms during commercials. As soon as I explained the last one CSI was back on. Titi, Josh, Iris, Josiah, and I were watching my favorite show. Josh and IRS also loved it. My aunt and brother were jet watching because nothing better was on. Everyone had left and my uncle and little cousins had just fell asleep.

I put my head on a nearby pillow and watched as the evidence piled up. In the end I was right, as usual, and we went off to our rooms. I laid in bed staring at the roof of my cousin's room. I heard as Iris' breathing evened out as she fell asleep. About 15 minutes later I heard footsteps.

" Cari? Are you up?" it was Josh.

" Yeah. Why?" I whispered propping myself up.

" I wanted to ask you something."

" Ok. I'll meet you downstairs. I got up, apparently to quickly because I got dizzy and my heard started to pound.

" Ow!" I put my hand on my forehead only making my recently cut up head even more excruciating.

" What happened?!" Josh came running in even in the dark his hazel eyes shining through the darkness. I never noticed how pretty his eyes where.

" I just got out of bed to quickly that's all."

" You sure?" he came over and grabbed my hand pulling me downstairs. He examined my forehead looking for any sign of my stitches undoing themselves. His golden brown shaggy hair kept falling into his face. I lifted hand and moved it away. He looked into my eyes and blushed. At the same moment I could feel my checks burning up.

" You know your cute when you blush." He said.

" You too." I smiled. " Most guys never do." I studied his face and noticed how good looking he was. Josh had perfectly tanned skin and an amazing smile.

I noticed him leaning in when " What are you doing?" And there standing at the foot of the stairs was my cousin Danielle in her footy pajamas.

" Nothing. Why don't you go back to sleep?" I said getting up.

" I'm going to mommy." She said going to my aunts room. " My tummy hurts." I looked at Josh and noticed his eyes where a beautiful blue and the outside was brown.

We started walking upstairs " You have really pretty eyes." I sad before thinking about it.

" Thanks." he said a smile pulling at his lips.

We walked to our rooms departing.

" Goodnight Cari."he said

" Night Josh."

" Wait! I forgot." Josh grabbed my hand and we sat down on the floor of his room since all the guys are crazy deep sleepers.

" What was it you wanted to tell me?"

" Actually I wanted to ask you something. Do you like me?" I knew that was coming. I thought for a moment and smiled.

" Yes. Yes I do."
