There's a white flag with a hero mask hanging on the flagpole at top of the tower of Heroteria Castle, waving from the breeze of the wind, saluting to the sky and sea.

It's a flag holding lives it had saved, the collection of smiles and tears from every hero who offered their hand to save another. It quietly waves back to me.

What amazes me even more that left my jaw gape with so much awe is seeing Heroteria Castle in a small island surrounded by sea of fluffy clouds and a blue horizon.

We are in the sky.

I always look up at the sky and see the Heroteria Castle soaring through the field of clouds. Now, I'm standing at the safe haven of Superheroes, a place for people with superpowers.

Dinala ako ni Roman papasok sa loob ng Heroteria Castle at lumiko kami sa isang silid kung saan may naghihintay sa amin doon.

Limang indibidwal ang nakatingin sa amin mula sa pintuan, nakaupo sa mahabang sopa. I can feel their strong presence, making me raise my guard.

I am aware of their menacing auras surrounding these strangers. The eyes that holds power and a history in which they keep to themselves. They are dangerous.

But so am I.

"Sino sila?" Bulong ko.

"Have a seat first. You'll know them soon enough." Roman gestured for the vacant sit between them.

Umupo ako sa may bakante, sa gitna ng lima. Ang mga mata nila'y sinusundan ako na para bang inaalam kung sino ako, bakas ang kuriosidad na malaman kung gaano ako kadelikado. I just try to ignore their curious stare.

"Why are we here?" Tanong ng lalaki na may berdeng mata. "Just to suffer?"

Napairap ang asul na mata ng babae na may black dress. The others are silent.

"I am Roman Horatius Everett, the Hero of Time." Pagpapakilala ni Roman habang nakangiti sa amin. "I can travel through specific, narrow pathway in a timeline."

"So you're a time traveler?" I smiled, namangha sa kanyang kapangyarihan.

He can go anywhere in time, revisit history, peak through the future, and live again from yesterday. He is a powerful man.

I've seen it firsthand when he tried to impress me in class. He didn't have to make an effort to be cool, the thought of him controlling time is already worthy of praise.

Isa rin sa mga klase ng Oddity na dyamante ang halaga sa mundo, bihira at mataas ang kalidad na magagawang pag-gyerahan ng mga bansa para makuha lang ito pero dahil mukhang malikot nga siya na bigla-bigla na lang sumusulpot at nawawala ay walang kung sino man ang nakakahabol o nakadakip sa kanya.

I don't even think the government is aware of such power, marahil na magaling lang talaga siyang itago ang presensiya niya sa mundong masiba sa kapangyarihan.

"No. I mean—yes. But time travelling is limited for me." Napakamot si Roman sa batok niya.

"You can go back and forwards in time!" Sabi ng maangas na babae. Her voice is raspy.

Tumango-tango si Roman with a proud smile. "Of course."

"Pwede kang bumalik para iligtas ang Dad ko?"

Roman's face faltered. Hindi siya nakasagot sa tanong ng maangas na babae sa kanya. Her smile slowly faded. We fell into an awkward silence.

Iyan ba ang dahilan kung bakit siya nandito? Para iligtas ang Dad niya?
