Our parents are our own kind of Superheroes.
There are parents who don't deserve to have a child, and children who don't deserve their parents. Some of us are given the love that we deserve. Most parents will make mistakes but the love will stay true.
Can we really say that we're all lucky to have parents or that some of us are better off without them? I know not all of us are lucky, some children have been abused in all kinds of ways while others are just longing to be loved and acknowledged by their parents.
I consider myself as one of the lucky ones dahil may magulang ako na nagmamahal sa akin. Pinrotektahan nila ako mula pagkabata ko sa mga diskriminasyon. Pinrotektahan nila ako sa mga masasamang bagay sa mundo. Pinrotektahan nila ako kahit wala silang mga kapangyarihan sa mga masasamang tao.
We grew up looking up to superheroes but I grew up looking up to my strongest parents.
I promised one day that I will share all the love and the strength I've been growing inside of me just for her to embrace it eternally, and she came with a name, Andromeda Galaxiana.
We deserve the kind of love that is given unconditionally. And that's what I'm going to give to the love of my life and our child. They deserve the kind of love that feels like a supernova.
Bagong panganak ko lang, yakap ko ang aking anak buong araw habang nakatitig sa mukha niya. Roman cried while watching us, he looked so proud and happy seeing us together. Ibang-iba talaga ang pakiramdam para sa akin, halu-halo ang aking mga emosyon na sobrang nakakainit at nagpapagaan ng damdamin ko.
Yes, I am afraid but I will never back out or abandon my responsibility as a mother. I will embrace motherhood and let my daughter be the witness of a loving family.
Becoming a mother takes strength, not even superheroes can compare with.
Becoming a father takes power, not even superheroes can compete with.
Becoming Roman Horatius Everett' wife takes a Nova Holliday-Everett, not even time and the universe can stop us from having a family.
I'm excited to show Andromeda to my parents. Alam kong matutuwa sila na makita ang anak namin ni Roman.
Becoming a parent is such a huge responsibility. Excited akong harapin ang pagsubok nito na ubod ng pagmamahal sa aking asawa at anak. Walang hadlang ang makakatumba sa akin para mahalin sila.
"She's so beautiful." Bulong ko habang hinahaplos ang chubby cheeks niya.
"Just like her mother." Ngumiti ako sa sinabi ni Roman bago niya hinalikan ang noo ko at ang baby namin.
We stayed like this together, talking and looking at our newborn baby with awe. Namamangha ako sa kanyang mga mata na may pinaghalong mata namin ni Roman. One eye made of time. One eye made of the galaxy.
May narinig kaming pagsabog mula sa buong kastilyo. Naramdaman namin ang pagyanig ng buong floating island ng Heroteria Castle.
Agad kaming hinawakan ni Roman para protektahan kami pero wala naman nangyari sa amin kundi ang pagyanig lang ng kastilyo.
"Brilliance, take Andromeda somewhere safe." Hinalikan ko si Andromeda bago siya inabot kay Brilliance.
"No! You can't go out there! Kakapanganak mo lang!" Hinawakan ni Roman ang braso ko para pigilan ako. "Ako na bahala."
