A few days later...

Ariyae: "(exhausted) I can't feel my legs or wings."

After walking along the road for several hours at a time, but they've finally arrived at a small town.

Cale: "(awkwardly) Sorry. I don't have a license."

Ariyae: "(groaning) Same."

They crash on a nearby bench.

Ariyae: "(exhausted) So there's one of the Embodiments in this dump?"

Cale: "Yep."

Ariyae wipes away some sweat.

Ariyae: "Any idea where?"

Cale has a smug look on her face.

Cale: "I have a feeling."

Ariyae: "(awkwardly) Why am I afraid?"

Cale gets back on her feet.

Cale: "I have no idea."

Ariyae grudgingly gets to her feet.

Ariyae: "(groaning) Lead the way."

Cale and Ariyae head off.

Half hour later...

Cale: "She did say she wanted to be a mechanic."

After asking around for what felt like forever, they have arrived at the workshop of the local mechanic in all of it's slightly run down glory.

Ariyae: "I just hope you're remembering right."

Cale knocks on the door, but with no response.

Ariyae: "Looks like they aren't home."

The sound of a drill and rolling wheels are coming from inside.

Cale: "I don't want to be rude, but we don't have a choice."

Cale opens the unlocked door to find a girl with fox ears, white and light blond fur on her limbs, three toed, clawed, bare feet, a denim jumpsuit with the zipper not all the way up, red stripes running down the sides, the sleeves and pant legs rolled up, and a square patch saying, "Rox," on it, a strip of red cloth tied around her right arm, a red cap on backwards, (with holes that allow her ears to poke through) a small, black nose, and oil stains on her face is currently working on a large car.

Rox: "Man, what the hell happened to these brakes?"

Cale: "Uh... Rox?"

Rox: "Huh?"

Rox halts her work to find Cale and Ariyae at the door.

Rox: "C-Cale?!"

Cale: "Roots and all."

Ariyae closes the door behind her as the sun begins to set.

Rox: "(excited) What're you doing here?!"

It's clear a dormant spark has ignited in her eyes.

Ariyae: "Looks like you were right."

Rox rushes up to Cale before squeezes her until she's about to pop.

Cale: "(struggling) I'm glad to see you too, but..."

Rox: "What's up?"

She let's go.

Ariyae: "We're here to deliver a message from Dae."

Rox: "Wait, how do you know about Dae?"

Cale: "It's a long story."

Rox's accommodations are in the neighboring room.

Rox: "Tell me all about it. I need a breather from that busted brake."

They all enter.

Ariyae: "So uh... do you want to start the story?"

Cale: "(sighing) I guess that's for the best."

They all sit down on a worn out, slightly torn, leather couch...
