The next day...
Everyone is currently driving through a light snow at the crack of dawn, with Ariyae's arm in a sling.
Ariyae: "So how long until we reach this Altar?!"
Owen: "It'll take at least a week from here. "
Nyria: "That'll give your arm time to heal. "
Veld: "Her arm was completely broken. Even with an Emotion inside of her it won't completely heal when we get there. "
Makoh: "Y-You might have to sit this one out."
Cale: "She won't."
Ariyae looks down to her arm.
Ariyae: "I'll fuck with Lazarus from a mile away while you beat the shit out of him."
Thoris places his hand on her shoulder.
Thoris: "Then follow through."
Rox: "Because I'm not dealing with your body."
A white light flickers behind Ariyae's eyes.
Ariyae: "Like hell I'm going to die!"
Everyone looks at her as she was exactly like them.
Lariat: "Then all is settled."
They look down the road ahead.
Xaena: "Lazarus has nothing on us!"
Owen: "That's a promise all of us can keep."
They mentally prepare themselves for what lies ahead.
However...
Lazarus is watching the heroes as they drive towards the Altar.
Lazarus: "I am more than a god."
The hazy aura surrounds Lazarus like Ariyae.
Lazarus: "The Second Page has already won."
A white light sparks behind his eyes.
Lazarus: "I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do all nine at once, but still..."
The light fades.
Lazarus: "... it's only a minor inconvenience."
He looks back at the heroes.
Lazarus: "Then find me and I'll show you just what Confusion has in store!"
