Iryll Dave's POV

I was leaning on the door when Kuya Ishie arrived together with a girl detective. She looks like a detective to me. K.

"How is she?" Pumasok kami sa room kung nasaan si Ali at si Justine. He look pissed, I think he didn't catch that guy.

Tumayo si Justine and give way to Kuya Ishie who's holding her sisters arms.

"Anong nangyari?" I started telling the story from morning until now.

I saw him become pale as I mentioned McNiel. I saw him tremble like Ali. Kumunot ang noo ko.

"He found us again." Ginulo niya ang buhok niya at tinitigan si Ali.

"Papatayin ko talaga ang lalaking yon." He's angry I get it. But why? What did that devil guy do exactly that they tremble as if they just escape death?

"Ano po bang ginawa ng lalaking yun?" Justine asked. He look so curious like me.

He look at Ali before talking.

"Yung hayop na lalaking yun. Gusto niya si Alira for some reason." He said.

"You mean her Ability?" I asked. He look shock and at the same time amused. Yeah, I'm good at reading peoples face.

"So you knew. I thought she wouldn't tell, anyways if you knew maybe you'll understand why I'm like this." He stare at us samantalang napaupo naman ang babaeng kasama niya.

"It started when I entered Alira at Central High. Well, everything seems normal not until she bumped into that jerk. She saw something and tell it to him. Everyday he looked for her and have tea or eat lunch. They become friends alright. But me being a detective felt so uncomfortable having him with us." He get some water before talking.

"Second year high school and Alira become so happy that she's having a friend who knows her Ability. Just because I support her and want her to be happy I let them be. Being friends. But an incident occur. Pangyayaring ayoko na rin sanang maalala pa. For my sake and her sake too." He hold the bottle tightly. Napalunok ako. My heart beats faster again, and it means trouble.

"Nagpaalam sila sakin na mag gagala. At dahil nagtiwala ako sa gagong yun pumayag ako. I was in La Union with my partner to raid a house. We we're in stake for three fucking days, and that days was Alira's hell days." I saw tears drop in his eyes.

"Ang gagong yun. Kinuha niya si Alira at ikinulong sa underground. For what? For his father's fucking business. Drug and weapon traids. I was in my huge breakdown nung nagpunta ako sa kanila at nakita ko si Alira. Nalaman ko na sinasaktan niya at pinapahirapan si Alira. He tried to rape her multiple times and I was just there standing and watching. I can't come why? Dahil papatayin nila ang kapatid ko. Lahat ng alam kong illegal na ginagawa nila ay isinuplong ko, but what did I get? A fucking envelope of money together with Alira picture na punong puno ng sugat. They even tell me na nagdu drugs ang kapatid ko when in fact she doesn't know how to drink and smoke!" He cried as I felt my heart stop beating for a moment.

"I was so mad but I can't do anything. Gusto ko na nga lang kalabitin ang gatilyo ng baril ko at patayin siya!" I was taken aback when Justine talk.

"I know them. Their group and their business. Because I do that too." Napalingon ako sa sinabi niya.

"McNiel is a huge family and they have a very strong connection with the Law. I must say na they're the Law." Kinuyom niya ang kamao niya.

"I met them when we are buying weapons to transfer to China. We have a very tight friendship with Yakuza's kaya hindi niya ako magagalaw. Because I own our group. Literally. My mom and Dad died and I'm the only one managing our company together with my uncle." Paliwang niya.

Nabalitaan ko nga ang pagkamatay ni Mr and Mrs Borisson. They originally live in the France. They're our major sponsor sa school which make Justine a billionaire knowing na walang tagapagmana bukod sa kanya at sa kapatid niya.

"I will protect Li from that devil. I can stand up against him." He looked determined.

"Thank you. Kailangan ko lang ng kapangyarihan, Iryll at Justine. Kailangan ko lang ng panlaban sa kanila. Pero kailangan ko din ng tulong niyo. Alam kong masasaktan kayo kung sakali pero mas masasaktan ang kapatid ko. We have no family especially her, if I die she surely will. We only have each other, but I trust the two of you. I'm fine whatever happens. But please, protect Alira. She's more than my family now. No, she is my only family. I'm going to protect her at all cost. I did it once and I willing to do it twice." He stood up and walk outside.

What does he mean na niligtas na niya si Ali?

"Kasama sila sa nasunog na condominium 10 years ago." Kuya Ishie's partner start talking as if she read my mind.

"They're not related at all. Sila nalang kasi ang nasa twelve floor. Alira is turning 8 y/o and Ishie is 18 y/o that day. Kaya nakuha ni Alira ang ganyang ability dahil sa pagtalon nila sa twelve floor. They land at the roof car, Alira is in coma for 3 months but fortunately she woke up but already having that ability." Kwento niya. I looked at Ali who's sleeping.

"I was with them for I don't remember how long. Alira's been through a lot, lalo pa noong tinaraydor siya ng pinaka una niyang kaibigan. It affect her emotions so much. Minsan nakikita ko si Ishie na tinitignan ang picture nila ni Alira. Alam ko na ayaw niyang malayo sa kapatid niya dahil sa nangyari pero wala siyang choice, dahil gusto niyang ma promote agad at maging superintendent kailangan niyang magtrabaho ng doble pa sa isang Captain Detective." Napabuga ako ng hangin. They surely been to much trouble.

"Sana... Sana kung gusto niyo siyang maging kaibigan dahil lang sa ability niya please don't. She already escape death once, but I can't guarantee she'll survive if she face death twice." She stood up and walk outside.

I know what she's referring as death, Ali's emotions. One can die if someone got hurt so much, too much to handle.

In Ali's case, she already felt the pain, the betrayal and the death itself once. I also don't know what will happen if she experience that same feeling twice. Maybe she'll become a walking dead. Alive in the outside but dead inside.

"I want to protect her. Not because of anything but because I want to. She's the first person who treat me like a human." I think Justine is talking to me.

Umupo ako sa tabi ni Ali at hinawakan ang kamay niya.

"We're together with this Jus. I may not know what that devil can do but I can protect her. I can protect the two of you. Beside, I'm her safe haven. And you're her Knight in shining armor." I smiled at him. Nagliwanag ang mukha niya sa sinabi ko.

"She is the first for me also." I play with her fingers.

"My heart beats faster in front of her for the first time." I smile at my thought. That's when I handed her gloves nung hinahabol ako ni Sir Tan.

"And the second time." When she poke my cheeks. I know now why she do that. Usually I push everyone who got near me. But when I'm with her I feel like I can feel anything. Even the pain. But I felt happiness. Comfort and contentment.

Hindi ko kaya na mawala siya knowing na dahil sa kanya kaya nakakaramdam ako. I'm willing to protect her, not because of anything else too. But because of herself.

"She's precious to me. My very first heartbeat." I heard Justine chuckled.

"She's precious to me too. My very first troublemaker." He said. I smile.

No one tried to talk to Justine and come near him. Akala kasi nila nananakit siya. But I can say na minsan nga nakakatakot siya. But Ali just talk to him and tried to interfere with Justine's business. You know when that nerdy guy robbed? I know what happen. Ang bilis kaya ng chismis.

"Since she's our very first friend should we do something for her?" Justine asked, like a riddle. Ang dali namang sagutin eh.

"Like protecting her?" He smirk.

"Bingo." I smirk and looked at Ali.

Don't worry Ali, we have so much to lose and we are willing to make a bargain for you.
