Awsten and I sped down the street to one of my favorite places of all time.

"Is this a fucking arcade?" Awsten asked.

"Yeah, it's an arcade and a restaurant," I took my helmet off.

"I never thought you'd be into arcade games," He glanced over at me.

"Seriously?" I laughed. "Do you even watch my YouTube channel? I talk about Dance Dance Revolution all the fucking time in my gaming videos,"

"I mostly just watch your covers, I like your voice." Awsten said, and I blushed. "Aww you're blushing," He teased.

"Let's just go inside so we can get food already," I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the building.

"Alex! Hey, I haven't seen you in months!" I looked over to see my old friend, Meredith.

"Meredith oh my god!" I ran up and hugged her. "Awsten, this is my friend Meredith. We've been friends since middle school. Meredith, this is my boyfriend, Awsten."

"You have a boyfriend? Oh my god, you interacted with someone enough to date them? I'm so proud!" She joked, making me laugh.

"Yeah, I'm surprised too," I smiled. "Has anyone beat my high score on Dance Dance Revolution yet?"

"Nope, and I'm not surprised, you set the bar high."

"Good." I laughed. "Anyways, we're hungry." Meredith sat us down at a booth and took our order.

Awsten and I sat and made small talk for a few minutes.

"Y'know, it's kinda weird to me that this is your hometown. Like, you know every place here, every alley like the back of your hand. It's crazy to me because I've never been here before."

"Well, not everywhere..." I laughed. "I'm just happy to see Percy and Queenie again."

"Who's Queenie?"

"My bike, of course,"

"You named your motorcycle Queenie?"

"Yeah! Does your car not have a name?"

"Actually, I don't have a car yet,"

"Well, when you get one I'm gonna make you name it." He laughed as Meredith came back with our food.

We ate in silence for a few minutes until I spoke up.

"By the way, I want to challenge you to a Dance Dance Revolution tournament."

"Oh geez. I don't know, Alex, you are the Dance Dance Revolution master," He smiled.

"Pleeeease?"

"Okay, fine," He laughed.

"Hey Aws?"

"Yeah?"

"I just wanted to say thanks,"

"For what?" He frowned.

"I just, I haven't been this happy in a really long time. And I wanted to say thank you for being awesome and not an asshole." I explained, and Awsten beamed.

"You really shouldn't have to thank me for being a decent human being, but you're welcome anyway," He grinned.

We finished our food and stepped up the the Dance Dance Revolution machines.

"You are going down." I joked, pretending to be serious.

"IT'S ON!" He yelled.

I just realized a few chapters ago I said I'd post a Billie Eilish cover as soon as this book got 700 reads and I forgot so I'll get on that later k bye
