22- surprise

It's the end of tour and I really wish that it wasn't. Awsten and I have been dating for two and a half months, and soon he's going to be thousands of miles away from me. And I still have a year left of school, so I probably won't be able to visit. We at least came clean about our relationship online, so now the whole internet knows we're together.

I hate goodbyes. More than anything else in the world. Except maybe my dad.

But I love Awsten so much. And I want so desperately to make it work. Tour hasn't even ended yet and I'm already worried about my relationship.

"Whatcha thinkin about?" Awsten sat next to me, putting his arm over my shoulder.

"Tour ends tomorrow." I said, causing Awsten to sigh deeply.

"Yeah." I cuddled closer to him.

"I don't wanna lose you after this,"

"You're not going to," He kissed my head. "I promise, love."

"We're going home for a day to unpack and shit, then we have to immediately fly down to LA to record with Sleeping With Sirens."

"Don't you have to start school again that same day?" He asked.

"Yeah. All my courses are posted online, which is how I'm able to go on tour and whatever during the school year. However, it's really stressful and it sucks ass."

"I'm sorry babe," He kissed my head again.

"It's okay, it's not your fault," I sighed. "I'm just gonna miss you so much."

"I love you," I smiled slightly.

"I love you too,"

"I can still fly up to Denver on weekends, and during breaks and whatever," Awsten hugged me. "We'll figure this whole thing out, don't worry."

"Yeah," I shifted so that my head was on his shoulder.

"Hey, by the way, I wanna you somewhere today. After our set, after I've showered and made myself pretty again."

"You're always pretty. And where?"

"I can't tell you, it's a surprise," He laughed his adorable laugh that I would miss so much.

"Fine." I fake pouted.

The last show of the tour was always bitter. I tried to distract myself from the fact that Awsten would be hundreds of miles away in less than 24 hours. It didn't work.

After our set, I went down to watch my gorgeous boyfriend play. As I walked up I saw my sister standing very close to Waterparks' photographer, Jawn.

"Hey Eve, what's up?" I walked up behind her, startling her.

"Hi! Um, Alex, this is Jawn."

"Hey, Jawn! Are you the reason my sister is barely around?"

"Oh my god, you're such a hypocrite. You spend all your time with Awsten now," Eve said, then laughed, letting me know it was a joke.

"I know, I'm kidding,"

"Well anyways, yes, I am the reason your sister isn't around anymore. Hi Alex." Jawn shook my hand.

"Whatever, I'm happy for you guys," I replied.

Our conversation was cut short when Awsten, Geoff and Otto appeared from their bus holding guitars and drumsticks.

"Hi love!" I gave my boyfriend a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, darling," He put his arm around me. "Ready for your surprise after this?" I smiled.

"Mhm" I hummed, placing my head on his shoulder.

"So when are you guys getting married?" My sister teased.

"Shut up." I said, blushing.
