"Hey, Mason, got a second?" Tyler approached us as we were about to walk out the door. Mason told me what happened last night because I went back to the house. Apparently, Tyler saw Mason turning into a wolf. Another problem on our hands, awesome.

"Nah, man. Barbeque at Jenna Sommers house." That wasn't a lie but what was a lie was the fact that he had no time – he did he was just avoiding the conversation all together.

"Come on man, give me 2 minutes, alright? You can't keep dodging me. I'm freaking out over here!" Tyler said desperately, looking at Mason with wide eyes which Mason masterfully avoided. This was what Mason was trying to avoid – he didn't want the panic, the fear, the dread for Tyler but now it was all here and Mason had to deal with it since no one else would.

"Tyler, what do you want me to say man? Yes, I turn into a wolf, no it's not going to happen to you." Mason said.

"How do you know that?" Even more fear was seen in his eyes.

"Because you are not going to trigger the curse. Your dad didn't know anything about any of this and neither did I until it happened to me." Mason quickly replied but he himself knew that it was more than likely for Tyler to trigger the curse – he did live in a town crawling with supernatural being that were ready to kill him.  "How does it get triggered?" Tyler pushed even further.

"Ignorance is a bliss, trust me."

"You come back into town with some supernatural family secret and you expect me not to ask question? Is she one of you two?" He pointed towards me and I shook my head feeling slightly bad for him. Not knowing was one of the worst feelings you could go through.

"I can't say anything more. I'm sorry, Tyler. It is just better for you to not know."  Tyler seemed to ponder for a second before he spoke up once again. "You ever found that moonstone?" He asked slyly knowing that that would get Mason's attention. It also caught my attention – moonstone was a rare object that could have been used in many different potions and spells, it also could have been used to break the curse.

"You know where it is?" Mason asked lightly as if it didn't matter but the moonstone was something, he had been searching for for weeks for the sun and moon curse.

"What is so special about it?"

"I told you. It was my mum's. Sentimental.  Look, just don't worry about it. Forget I brought it up, right? See you later." They shared a short stare down before we slipped out the door.

"Smooth Mason, smooth." I commented on the scene that just happened and he chuckled. "Shut up, Mia."

"I mean, you handled this situation so well!" I said sarcastically before stepping into the car

"Aha! Good news! I found the shot glasses." Mason said with a victorious grin on his face.

"Finally! I need a drink." I muttered before trying to grab one of them but Mason took them away from me and walked towards Jenna and Elena. "Oh come on, don't be such a party pooper... Why do you have to take all the fun out of things?"

"Okay, this is my que to go. You coming, Mia?" Elena asked and I stood stunned for a moment unsure of what to say – I wasn't expecting her to invite me with her. Shrugging, I followed her outside to the porch. She checked her phone again, as if waiting for important news before giving in and dialling a number.

"Hey... I'm just checking in. Did you get the message about Jenna's barbeque? Call me when you can."

A blonde girl with bright blue eyes came into view with a small smile. It was the new vampire that Bonnie and Stefan were talking about, Caroline. She approached us with quick, looking a bit uncomfortable in her own skin. She hasn't yet adjusted to turning.
