Elena filled me in on what I have missed - Tyler becoming sired to Klaus (whatever that meant); Jeremy seeing the ghosts of his ex girlfriends; Vicki, one of those girlfriends who happened to be Matt's sister, trying to kill Elena so she could come back to life. I also tried to inform her as to why bringing back Mikael was not a great idea - I told her of his cruelty and his love for death yet she didn't understand why I feared him. I couldn't tell her that he had once killed me.Still, an eventful day had passed as I slept soundly in Elena's bed. It felt almost good to not be involved in all the Mystic Falls drama for once yet the following days I was just dragged back in. I thought I could just quickly go to the Grill to get some food and come back without encountering anyone or anything. Sadly, the moment I stepped out, I knew something wasn't quite right. Maybe it was the slight wind that sounded like very familiar voice that I could have recognised anywhere or maybe I was just finally going mad but I could have sworn to hear someone as I made my way down the empty roads.
Of course, I ignored it. It couldn't have possibly been real.
Thus I continues my journey and soon sat at one of the booths deciding between a cheeseburger and wrap.
That underlying feeling that I was not alone continued and the longer I sat, the more I was convinced that someone sat in front of me; I just couldn't see them.
I looked around the place, noticing all the oblivious people. Then I focused my attention on the two men sitting by the bar - Alaric and Damon. They were ordering shots. Who would have guessed?
Suddenly, there were no longer two stools occupied, there were three.
A man had appeared out of nowhere, taking Damon's shot and then hitting him with the glass. It was Mason.
I blinked several times, trying to make sure that this wasn't just a dream. He didn't disappeared. Stuck to my seat for a few moments, I wasn't sure how to approach this situation yet soon enough my food dilemma was forgotten and I was making my way across the room towards the men.
Tapping him on the shoulder, I put on a stoic face, trying to hide the storm of emotions fighting within me. As if in slow motion, he turned around to face me and well, my mask was quickly broken down. "Mia?"
I didn't know what to say or what to do. Guilt bubbled inside me as I thought about how I basically betrayed him - they kidnapped him, tortured him, ripped his heart out and yet I didn't do anything about it, I remained civil. Without thinking much about it, I enveloped him into a big bear hug, holding onto him for dear life. He hugged me back.
"Well well, look who became all touchy since I was gone." Mason laughed and I let him go, hitting him in the stomach. He didn't react whatsoever. "You've gotten weaker."
"Great now that the reunion is out of the way -I killed you, you want revenge, get in line." Damon spoke up, grimacing at the scene in front of him.
"Actually, I want an apology." Alaric laughed and I did too. "I think you ought to actually do something productive whilst you are actually here as this will probably not go anywhere - for example Tyler. He's a hybrid now."
"That's why I am here. To help Tyler."
"Sorry to break it to you buddy, but Tyler can't be helped. At least not while Klaus is alive which is... like always."
"Not necessarily. Not if you found a weapon that could kill him." Mason paused as they looked at him expectantly. I was also curious but when he did not elaborate I knew he was waiting for Damon's apology.
"Damon - just bloody apologise."
"You can't be serious - why are you even here anyways, witchy? I thought you were still in bed."
