"Elena... what in the name of Merlin did you do?" When I had woken up from my deep slumber, I wasn't surprised to see myself in the Salvatore House. This sleep might not have been the best, but I felt fresh and new. However, seeing Elena sitting in the basement with the body of Elijah made that feeling quickly disappear.
I stared at her with accusing eyes asking myself why would she ever do this – she already had one Original on her tail, making that two was basically suicide, especially if it was Elijah who would never kill his brother, no matter what he said. "Elena, are you trying to get yourself killed because let me assure you, you are doing a great job at that right now." I put out my hand. "Give me the dagger, Elena, before it's too late." She refused holding it closer to her chest and I shook my head. "Accio dagger." I said and immediately, the dagger came rushing towards me before Elena could even react. Holding it, I stood up walking to Elijah to put it back into his chest but Elena held my arm, stopping me from doing it. "Don't. I have a plan; he can help us."
Before I knew it, it was too late and Elijah was coming back to life, rolling on the floor. I pulled Elena behind me. "What are we going to do now, huh? You brought back the person who you stabbed in the back and now you expect him to help you? Elijah isn't the one to forgive such acts easily so I don't even know how you will protect yourself from both him and Klaus now." I muttered, slowly stepping up to him, the dagger still in my hand. "What's happened?" He asked in a breathless voice and I turned to Elena. She looked at me confused. "I..."
He tried speeding out, but he hit a wall. "He can't be here. He's not invited in." I said and Elena gaped at me. "Get out, now." I said in a low voice to the dead looking vampire. He didn't look his best at the moment – his hair was grimy; his face was so dirty it looked like he fell in a mud and his clothes which were once expensive and nice looked ragged and torn. I couldn't even imagine what the Salvatores tried doing to him considering the stench that radiated off of him – he smelled like he was burned alive, a scent I wished I never smelled before. When he flashed out of the room, Elena followed after him. "Why do you always get in so much trouble? You need to get a grip or you will get everyone killed, not just yourself. You don't know what they are like and you thinking that they will let you or anyone you love live is absolutely idiotic." I told her yet she didn't listen. "Elijah must know something – a way to kill Klaus or a way to subdue him. I will not let Bonnie or you die trying to kill him. There must be another way and I will do anything to find it."
We found Elijah crouching outside of the house, taking deep breaths and getting used to him being alive again. When he saw Elena, a scowl formed on his face and we stepped further inside the house knowing he couldn't get in because he didn't have an invitation and for a moment, I couldn't help but think how Damon and Stefan made a smart move giving her the house. "I told you Elena. I told you." I whispered at the same time as Elijah said, "What happened?"
"I'll tell you, but not here. I trust you" Her voice was almost inaudible. "Can I trust you?" She seemed to be contemplating something then turned to me. She pointed at the dagger and immediately understood what she meant and I shook my head. I was not going to give her the only way we can protect ourselves yet she grabbed it out of my hand and before I could do anything, she gave it to Elijah. "Elena!"
Exasperated with Elena's behaviour, I inwardly groaned, pushing past her and Elijah outside and to the car. There was nothing else I could do now. "Well let's go then."
Elijah drunk the blood that we brought him whilst Elena drove; I sat in the backseat doing absolutely nothing. The silence was deafening and the tension in the air just seemed to get thicker and thicker but when we stopped in front of the Lockwood Mansion, Elena finally spoke up. "You look better."
"Where did you get the dagger?" He completely ignored her comment, asking. I'll tell you everything but we have to work together Elijah. I need your word." Elena said seriously and I rolled my eyes at her stupidity – she had been doing stuff like this ever since I knew her and I still couldn't get used to it. It was as if she thought that her actions didn't have any consequences whatsoever like killing Elijah didn't make him angry at all. "No demands. I'm just offering my help, and in return I want yours." She stated confidently and I hoped that he would agree because otherwise, Elena wasn't going to survive.
