Confusion was the first thing that hit me when I opened my eyes to see an unfamiliar room, pain hit second. It wasn't terrible, but the annoying ache in my head kept me from thinking clearly. Another body layed beside me, unconscious. Elena Gilbert always seemed to attract trouble wherever she went and now she managed to drag me into it and get me kidnapped.

I looked around, searching for my wand which was nowhere in sight – it couldn't have been anyways as I left it back at the Gilberts'.  Now I was left vulnerable to whatever was to come.

"How are they?" I heard a woman's voice say somewhere in the house.

"Still passed out." A man answered. Two. If I made a run for it, maybe I could make it.

Elena began shifting in her sleep, finally waking from her slumber. She slowly opened her eyes, staying still for a moment before swiftly sitting up and looking around. "You just can't avoid trouble now can you?" I whispered.

"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" The man's voice echoed through the walls. He sounded nervous – too nervous for a captor. There must have been something about this Elijah. Even his name sounded dangerous and something to be feared.

"They say he got it." The woman said and without a warning Elena stood up and tried to get to an exit which was a bit of a stupid move if you ask me because every single sound you made could be heard through these thin walls.

"Wonderful and what?"

"So, that is it Trevor. He either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait." We moved towards the voices, creeping closer and closer. "Look, it's not too late. We can leave it here. We don't have to go through with this." Trevor said desperately and I couldn't help but wonder what this Elijah was capable of and what did he need with us.

"I'm tired of running."

"Well running keeps us from dying." They argued back and forth.

"Elijah is old school. If he accepts our deal, we are free." Elena took one more step towards the door and the floor let out a loud creak that even Elena cringed. Bothof the figures turned to look at us in seconds. They were vampires.

"You! There is nothing around here for miles. If you think you are getting out of this house, you are tragically wrong. Do you understand?" The woman with spiky short hair said with a hard voice. "Who's Elijah?" Elena suddenly asked, uncaring of the consequences. We were after all defenceless with two vampires who were holding us captive.

"He is your worst nightmare." With that said she walked back into the room, not glancing back, probably knowing that we would follow. What else could we do anyways?

"Why am I here?" Elena asked millionth as she stood by the doorway while I was sitting comfortably on the sofa in the middle of the room. The room itself was barren, the walls peeling and barely holding up whilst all the windows were barricaded up, stopping any sun light coming through.  That was what Rose, the vampire, had been doing for the past half an hour or so. A few times, the light touched her skin making her yelp which was the only entertainment I got this whole time. What made it worse for her was that she and Trevor had to live like that for the past 500 years as they could not get hold of a daylight ring meaning she lived in darkness for half a century.

"You ask those questions like I'm going to answer them." Her voice was lighter than before, less threatening and intimidating. "Why won't you?"

"Well Elena, I don't think the people that kidnapped us would tell us their plans. Do you?" I asked and Elena clamped her mouth shut making me smile. Finally. "But still, this is strange. I understand you want something with Elena but what could you want from me?" Elena was the doppelganger which many people wanted and I was just a no one.
