Truth is never hidden for long. It will always find its way to the surface and now as my eyes gazed over the streets of Mystic Falls, I knew that the secrets that I have created won't stay as that for very long and everyone was going to find out sooner or later. But people were oblivious, they did not what was going on around them, what darkness loomed in their small town and how close they were to Death itself. No, ordinary people were blessed with it and I resented that.

"Welcome Back to Mystic Falls." The man which I hoped to avoid announced and all I wanted to do was shrink back into the van. But I couldn't do anything, I was helpless. And no one saw, no one knew about what was happening or what was going to happen with Klaus here.

Stefan, who was also in the van stumbled up with fear in his eyes, he was petrified. Klaus knew about what happened and he was going to do something about it. And that something never ends up to be good.

That was when I heard the sickening crack of Stefan's neck breaking. "I hope I won't have to do that to you as well, love. So don't try anything. You won't be able to anyways." I cringed at the sight. It just reminded me of everything else that happened in this cursed town.

"What do you mean I won't be able to?" I asked cautiously. I tried to grab my wand for comfort, but then I realised it was gone. "What did you do with my wand?" I glared at the man accusingly and tried to use my magic on him. But it didn't work. It was like it wasn't even there. It was like my magic was gone.

"What did you do to me? What did you do to my magic? Give it back! Now!" I yelled desperately. A part of me was gone and it made me scared. Magic was something that I always had and now that it didn't work it made me feel even more empty than before.

"I had my witch take the magic out of your body and put it away for some time. It is just a little precaution so that you won't do anything you would regret." My glare hardened even more. How was that even possible? I don't think I even wanted to know. I just wanted to get it back.

I took a deep breath, then another... I had to calm down. I couldn't even do anything to him now – I was just another powerless muggle now.

"Don't worry. It's in a safe place. I'll give it back to you when the right time comes."

"So what, do you expect me to survive in a world full supernatural creatures with me being an ordinary human who cannot protect herself? Thank you! Now anything can just come and kill me without any effort. Oh and with other wizards looking for me I really do stand a chance. Totally." A collection of different curses ran out of my mouth as I wanted nothing more but to see the annoying original in front of me to feel how I felt. To see how he felt if he became a human after all these years.

"Nothing will happen to you." Klaus rolled his eyes at my tantrum.

"I hate you so much..."

The sun has set already and the town was taken over by night. Stars glistened in the sky, giving a false sense of safety but this night was everything but safe. As I walked down the hallway of the high school, I knew that today all the hell was going to be unleashed in Mystic Falls.

I was walking in the lonely hall trying to not think of the things that were going to happen. Klaus has already probably found Elena and everyone else and now he was probably torturing some innocent students. And as I walked into the large room, I knew I was right.

Tyler was in Klaus' arms, who was making him drink his blood. And then he was dead and on the floor. The fall echoed through the room, just like the gasps from everyone else. I tried rationalising my thoughts. It was fine. He wasn't truly dead. He was going to turn into a hybrid and then everyone was going to be happy. It wasn't like he was going to die like all those other werewolves who Klaus tried to turn into hybrids. Not while I was here.
