Julie woke up sighing, feeling the heat of the sun on her face. She was facing the window and she forgot to draw the curtains close when she went to bed the night before.

She turned, facing the ceiling, with an arm over her eyes. Memories of what happened last night came crashing back.

Napa-buntong hininga siyang bumangon sa kama at dumirecho sa ensuite bathroom niya.

She grabbed her toothbrush and the toothpaste, after applying a certain amount, she started brushing her teeth. As she was doing this, she was facing the mirror and inspected her face.

Namumugto ang kanyang mga mata, at magulo ang buhok. She also noticed tear tracks, di gaano mahahalata kung di niya tinitigan ng maigi ang mukha sa salamin.

After finishing her business in the bathroom, dumiretso siya sa kitchen upang maghanda ng breakfast. She started brewing her coffee then proceeded to prepare her sandwich. Dahil wala siyang gana mag heavy breakfast.

Nang matapos ang coffee na ni-brew niya, she poured herself a cup and sat on one of the stools in her breakfast nook and there she silently ate her breakfast.

Nasa may lababo na siya hinubugasan mga ginamit niya kagabi at ngayong umaga. Patapos na siya nang may narinig siyang kumakatok sa pintuan ng unit niya.

Pinunasan niya ang kamay niya bago pinagbuksan ng pinto ang taong kumakatok.

When she opened the door, direchong pumasok si Maqui at niyakap siya ng mahigpit.

Then, hinatak siya nito papunta sa living room niya at umupo sila sa sofa.

"Kamusta ka na Jules?" Tanong ni Maqui while inspecting her face, then her arms na para bang naghahanap ng galos o ano.

"Maq stop." Natatawang sabi ni Julie. "Okay lang ako." She said smiling.

Maqui released a breath, relieved na mukhang wala naman ginawang masama si Aiden sa bestfriend niya.

Magsasalita na dapat si Maqui nang inunahan siya ni Julie. "Bago tayo mag start, nag breakfast ka na ba?"

"Yes tapos na bes."

"Okay. Do you want something to drink? Water, Juice, Coffee?"

"Coffee nalang. Thanks."

"Alright." Nagtungo si Julie sa kitchen niya para ikuha ng kape ang bestfriend niya at sarili narin niya.

"Buti di mo sinama si Elmo." Sabi ni Julie habang nag sasalin ng coffee sa dalawang mugs.

"Actually, dapat kasama siya kaso bigla tumawag si Frank nagpapa tulong sakanya. Importante daw, kaya ayun ako nalang."

"I see."
