Leave something behind
For me to remember you by.
Leave behind
Happy memories
Of you smiling
And me tearing up
From excessive laughter.
Leave behind warmth
From the way your hand
Feels in mine.
Leave behind
Sweet moments
That'll never be bitter
Because we'll keep them together.All I ask
Is kindly never
Leave me behind.
Unless you have new choice. But know,
That with me
You'll leave your legacy-
A legacy of love,
And of kindness.
A legacy that only I
Will ever know.
A legacy that is meant
As a treasure solely for me.
Leave me loved,
Leave me happy.
But don't be happy
Leaving me.Perhaps if that were true
You'd leave a different legacy-
A legacy of grief.
Or of hate,
Of hurt feelings
And tainted love.
Perhaps you leaving will hurt me
Either ways.
But if you cared
Maybe that will mean
I don't have to be scared.
That you won't come back.
Come back
And be here.
Relive your legacy.
Renew my love.
And keep your visa
To my heart
Always current.~A
