Ehn-som-nee
French pronunciations
Always had the ability
To keep me up at night.
To rattle my brain
And leave me feeling drained.
A new language
With ins and outs,
Curled tongues
And shaped mouths.
New things to learn.Insomnie.
Sleepless
In French.
It would repeat in my mind,
Like a language gone wild.
Given life in the day time,
To take over in the night.I couldn't sleep.
Just recounting so many things.
Overthinking,
Remembering,
Imagining.
Un,
Deux,
Trois...So many different things

Keeping my mind awake.

It won't be like this.Maybe I need peace
At least when it's bedtime.
That the cuckoo will awake
A more willing victim
To trample on a new day.To sleep.
To lose yourself
In a wild, impossible dream.
To sleep
Would be a dream
All on its own.
Keeping secrets
Of a day that couldn't go by
Fast enough
To reconnect a head
To its long lost pillow.Good night.
Good sleep.
Good rest.
Sweet dreams.~A
