1 what inspired you to write?
I was a big reader when I was younger and I always excelled in English over other subjects. I wrote little stories when I was younger but when I was around ten / eleven, I actually sat down and decided I wanted to start writing for real and it sort of just grew from there.
2 what's one Wattpad goal?
I don't want to seem dull and uninspired or anything but honestly I don't really set any wattpad goals for myself. I usually just write whenever I feel inspired or I'm just in the right mood. A lot of the goals I've set for myself have been more personal than wattpad related e.g. work on developing this character, fix any errors in this backstory, etc.
3 what's the best way to handle a bully?
If the bullying is verbal, I'd say start thinking of ways to deflect what they're saying by coming back at them. If you can beat them at their own game, there may be a more likely chance they leave you alone. Don't take to heart what they are saying, despite how hard it is. Remember your good qualities, take care of yourself, open up to loved ones, listen to music / watch films / go on walks or whatever makes you feel better, it's okay to be upset and cry sometimes. If the bullying is physical, my best advice would be take self defense classes and beat their ass.
4 if you could hang out with your favorite celeb for a day, who would you choose and what would you do?
Tough question for someone as indecisive as myself. I don't really have any favourite celebrities but I think a day out with Keanu Reeves or Ryan Reynolds could be fun. Nobody is coming to mind at the minute.
5 what's your schedule regarding your writing?
No schedule! Whenever I feel inspired, I write. I find it easier and it feels more freeing and relaxing than scheduled writing.
6 what's your favorite snack?
Definitely something chocolatey. I have a bad sweet tooth.
7 what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?
Probably the fact that I can save all of my works, drafts, etc. in one place and keep them organised. I don't really get involved in the community, to be honest, but I think it's a platform of people that usually encourage positive thinking.
8 if you could gain advice from your favorite author, who would you choose and what would you ask?
I don't even have a favourite author. What kind of writer am I, at this point? I read a lot of non-fiction nowadays, usually based around crime and psychology. However, if I did have a favourite author, I'd probably ask questions such as how to keep the reader interested in the story or build realistic characters. I also get bored and distracted easily so I'd probably also ask how to become more dedicated to keeping the story going strong until it's actually time to end it rather than just abandoning it.
9 what's a song you enjoy? Who is the artist?
A song I enjoy? Too many! :) Lately, I've been very into Miniature Tigers and The Walters so probably something by either of those. Honestly I wrote out a really long paragraph rambling about music but I decided it would be much simpler to be more straightforward, despite all the songs and bands and artists coming to mind. Today (30/05/2019, the day before my birthday!) I've been listening to mainly Boomerang and Easy As All That by Miniature Tigers. As I was writing out the majority of this answer, I was listening to One Last Time by Summer Salt.
10 what's a good piece of advice for a newcomer?
Write what you want to write! Write in and out of your comfort zone. Write for yourself as well as other people. Try your best to add depth to your story and characters. Do your research, especially when dealing with subjects such as mental health issues or drug addictions or political issues among other topics. Always check your grammar and spelling and proof read or make changes where you feel necessary. Don't feel pressured to write.
11 what's your dream vacation?
A dream vacation would probably be somewhere tropical. Somewhere peaceful and sunny where the people are friendly. Somewhere where you can relax all day and soak up the sun and go for strolls into the city at night for a bit of excitement or along the beach for some quiet. A vacation that lets you be young and happy.
Request time!
Out of the two published works, Lickety Split is my most popular. A short, sweet story about two young people who build a friendship through the year. I wrote it a long time ago and it, by no means, is perfect but it's a short and pleasant read that will leave you smiling. I hope, if you read it, you're able to enjoy it as much as I did. Much love!
