STORYTIME!
Emile/Emm/Emily Picani was Genderfluid, meaning thst their gender identity depends on how they wake up in the morning. Today was a feminine day, which means she uses she/her pronouns and the name Emily today. Gender is how the hormones in your brain reacts to your body and how it relates to society-built terms such as male and female: the two binary genders. Emily was assigned male at birth, so whenever she wears feminine clothes or buys feminine things, people criticize her.
Emily was at home after a long day of work, which actually supported her and her gender identity, twirling around a small bottle of nail polish on her dresser. She always wanted to wear it on feminine days, but she never had the courage to do so because society punishes "boys" who wear makeup or nail polish. Emily had always been fond of glitter, and she got this cute glittery pink nail polish with glittery pink lipstick to match. She also got blue for masculine days and yellow for neutral/other days but she had always been scared because "boys" don't wear makeup.
While Emily was contemplating wither she should wear this stuff out to her dare with her boyfriend, the song I'm Still Standing by Elton John began playing loudly from her phone. That's her boyfriend's ringtone. She got up and walked across the room to grab her phone that was resting on her bed. She picked it up and began a conversation.
"Moshi Moshi?"
"Hey Babe, we still on for date night tonight?"
"Of course we are! I have all the DVDs out and I got a playlist going. I also know how much you love pumpkin spice everything so I decided to try and bake a pumpkin pie! I can't promise that it turns out okay, considering I made it from scratch, but I do I have a backup pie in the freezer!"
"You're so adorable. Emily today, right? That's what Elliott said when I ran into them at the grocery store after their appointment."
"Yep, It's an Emily day!"
"You know, Elliott also said that you had some insecurity when they visited you. Something about makeup? They said you mentioned it when talking about Elliott's makeup and fashion style. What's that about?"
"Oh, it's nothing. No need to worry about it."
"No, I'm worried about it. If you want to wear makeup, go ahead. Gender stereotypes don't matter. Makeup has no gender and neither do clothes. If I need to go on a ten hour rant on why no matter what you decide to wear and that clothes and fashion don't decide your gender then I will."
Emily couldn't say a word. She was still insecure about it and Remy hit it right on the money. She looked back over to the glittery nail polish and lipstick. Bright pink like pinkie pie. Emily sighed, saying all that she needed to say for Remy to go on a long rant over the phone.
"Listen to me. Who cares what people say. If you want to wear something, you wear that something. Okay? Nobody can decide your gender except for you. And don't worry about that gender stereotype shit that people go on about. Who cares if you were born male or if it's a masculine day? Boys can wear makeup. Boys can wear nail polish. Boys can like pink. Same for Vice versa. Girls can like blue and girls can get messy. Who gives a shit?! You do whatever you want because you are a Kween, King, or Non-Binary Royal That is allowed to do whatever the fuck they want. Or, she wants today."
Emily was still silent, bowing her head. She didn't want to listen, but she knew it was true. Gender stereotypes were just created by society and aren't real. They don't have to be followed.
"If you want you wear glitter, fucking do it. Okay? Elliott said you briefly talked about it before switching the attention back to them. I've seen the unused glitter stuff in your room. Wear it."
The phone went off and Emily sighed. She walked over to her dresser and took the pink nail polish. She smiled and unscrewed the cap. For the first time, she painted over her index fingernail with the color. It went well with her skin tone, the glitter shining back up at her. After painting over that hand, she had to let it dry. Good thing it was her non-dominant hand. She reached for the pink lipstick and began to apply it single handedly. It looked really nice on her, bringing out the chocolate color of her eyes. It looked nice. She looked like a queen.
When Remy arrived, she was full glittered up. When she opened the door, Remy nearly dropped the roses that he had brought for her.
Thsts a victory in her book for sure!

Bonus Ending
Emile walked into his office the next day. He was masculine today, so he went by Emile. He walked into his office getting looks from everyone. They weren't anything bad or mocking. No, it was more like apencouraging and captivating looks from people he passed by. Much different than when he was walking in from the parking lot. He walked into his office with a bright smile and sat down at his desk, looking to see who he had an appointment with first. Perfect! Elliott would be coming in soon!
Emile tapped his sparkly nails against the desk and a glittery blue smile illuminated the room. He picked up his phone and decided that he looked cute. He was going to take a selfie. Looking at himself with his entire blue aesthetic including the eyeshadow and mascara was something out of a movie. Or a drag race. All he needs is the wig and dress and he's ready to perform. He took a selfie or three. Once it was done he s elected the best one and put a few heart stickers on it. He then sent it to his loving boyfriend Remy with a text following it.
Emile: Thank you for being the best boyfriend Evah! <3 I think I look cute. Loving the Glitter! XD
It didn't take very long for Emile to get a response from Remy.
Remy: You look more than cute, love. You look handsome~ The glitter fits you very well. I can't wait for you to get off work. I want you to stain my face with glittery blue~
Emile laughed and set down his phone, still getting used to wearing contacts instead of his glasses. Remy suggested he do that so he doesn't smudge anything. To be honest contacts are kind of cool. He might do this more often, but the eye makeup seems to much. He really only wants the glittery stuff. He is much more comfortable wearing his glasses anyways. But today he can tough that out. He was happy and confident in himself, which was rare recently. He was proud.
Fitting since pride month starts tomorrow!

Clothes and Makeup have no gender. Wear what you want. Design yourself. If you want makeup, cool! If you don't, cool! Only you should be able to decide what you want to wear, not society. Gender stereotypes need to fall and our generation will be the one to end them! Woo!
Internet hugs and blow kisses!
