Tanya

I pulled up to Tariq's house and parked in the driveway. I got out and opened the back door, getting Daniel and the bag. He fell asleep so I had to carry him. I also need to get him a booster seat. Walking up to the door, I knocked and waited for an answer. The door opened a few seconds later.

"Hey, Tanya." Tariq said.

His eyes were bloodshot and the house was dark. I walked in and shut the door behind me. The first thing I did was open up the blinds. The place still looked clean. I laid Daniel down on the couch and placed a blanket on him.

"Tariq-" I said.

"I know, I should've told you."

"That's not what I was gonna say."

"I'm okay, Tanya."

"I would beat her ass but I'm pregnant."

"She's pregnant too, T." He chuckled.

"Her face isn't."

"So, who's the little guy?"

"Daniel-Dave's son." I said.

"Oh." He nodded.

"Did you eat?"

"Yeah, I had some eggs and toast."

"Good, now, tell me what happened?"

"I was here and it was regular day. Bianca came downstairs with her bags, a suitcase, and all the baby stuff we bought. I asked her where she was going and she told me she met a new guy. They slept together and now all of a sudden, she's in love with him. She packed up her car and left. Feelings obviously weren't mutual cause the next day, she called me talking bout she sorry and she needs somewhere to stay."

"What'd you tell her?" I asked.

"I asked her what was wrong with her mom's house. So, I guess that's where she's at now."

"It most definitely is."

I heard Daniel whine as he stretched. "Mommy."

Tariq and I both looked shocked. I didn't expect Daniel to call me mommy so soon or even at all. It made me wonder what his life was like with Erica.

"Uh, yeah?" I answered.

He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Where are we?"

"Uncle Tariq's house."

"Wassup, little man." Tariq said.

"Hi." Daniel said.

"You wanna play a game?"

"You have Mario Kart?" He asked.

Tariq chuckled. "Yeah."

"Let's play."

Kianna

"Rashad, what the fuck?!" I yelled.

"Leave me alone, Kianna." He said.

He was really sitting here, packing up all his stuff. I don't even know why he was doing this. I literally just got home from work.

"What did I do?"

"Kianna, look me in my eyes right now and tell me you didn't eat my burger from Five Guys."
