"Ice-cream?" Nate asked as he offered Caitlyn a small tub.

"Yes please! I love you right now." She declared, taking the gloriously cold food from him. The heat was getting to everyone.

"You don't love me all the time?" He grinned wickedly, taking a spoonful of his own ice cream. The temperatures had been spiking ever since Tess, Ella, Barron and Sandor had left a week ago.

"Oh shut up." She laughed at him, knocking her shoulder at his as they sat on the porch of their cabin after a long day of classes.

"Connie says hi by the way." He commented as nonchalantly as if he was discussing the weather.

"Connie is here?" She asked him, forgetting her ice-cream.

"Yeah, where do you think I got the ice-cream? This thing is a rare commodity in this heat but apparently being the brother of her soon to be son-in-law has it's perks." He smiled, "She's here to check up on the kitchen for the day."

Caitlyn scrambled to stand up, nearly throwing her ice cream at Nate, "I need to go say hi, I didn't get to talk to her much at the engagement party." She had always had a soft spot for Mitchie's awesome Mom since the first time she had met her.

Caitlyn made her way to the mess hall and let herself in the back door of the brand-new state of the art kitchen that had been installed a few summers ago. She spotted Mitchie's Mom straight away, overseeing a younger cook with their meal preparation.

"Connie!" She greeted and made her way over to where the older woman pulled her into a hug.

"Caitlyn! Oh I'm so glad to see you!" Connie said, "The party was fun wasn't it? And look at you, back at Camp Rock."

"It was amazing." Caitlyn assured her. "And Camp has not been the same without you."

"Oh I know, I do miss this place a lot..." Connie said.

"But who are we to get in the way of a super successful business huh?" Caitlyn reminded her. Through Connie's determination and hard work, Connie's Catering had flourished and she had business stretching right across the state. The downside was she had to delegate work at Camp Rock to make sure her other clients were happy too.

And even though the food was still amazing, Caitlyn still missed being able to retreat to the kitchen to sit down and ask Connie's advice or to just to catch up while she helped out with the food preparation.

"Oh you're making me blush." Connie waved away Caitlyn's compliment. "So tell me, what's new with you?" The woman seemed to magically produce fresh ice cream from nowhere and made Caitlyn sit down while she went about helping out in the kitchen.

"Oh nothing much." Caitlyn shrugged. Which was a lie, she was writing and recording songs at a fast rate now, her ankle felt much better and she still felt stuck in limbo over her feelings about Nate. "Weather's warm isn't it?"

Connie just shot Caitlyn one of her no nonsense looks, "Huh uh, no news then?"

Caitlyn bit her lip from finally admitting out loud that she was maybe falling in love with her best friend again.

She shook her head, trying to remain innocent looking.

"Well what's this about you and Nate anyway? It's all over the news Sweetie." Connie said.

Caitlyn flinched.

She kept trying to forget the fact that just because she was confused about her feelings over Nate, it didn't mean that the media was.

She just wanted time to sort through everything before they left. She felt safe being at Camp with Nate. If she ever got too overwhelmed by her feelings then she could just pretend they were still ten year old best friends having fun at Camp.
