Chapter 2 Next door Neighbor

The day went by so fast, I seemed to lose the new kid a lot. Everyone seems to have an interest in him, trying to pull him into a group. As I walk home I notice the new kid here in my community. As I notice who was his new 'friendly' group, Ashley Lingore notices me walking past. "Hey loser! Are you that desperate to stalk Javi so quickly?" I roll my eyes continuing to walk but she keeps shouting. I finally have the courage to turn around and shout "Can't you shut up!" "What you say to me?" Ashley starts walking over, but Javier figured to finally pull her back and say "Hey Ash cut it out." "You're gonna stick up for this stupid bi-" "Yes I am, go home Ashley I'll text you later." "You're lucky he's nice! Bye Javi," she winks and walks off clinking her high heels. As I'm about to turn the corner all of a sudden I feel a strong hand on my shoulder. When I look up I see it was Javier standing above me. "Oh. What do you want?" "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for not sticking up for you at first, plus this is basically where I live," he slowly turns away, cheeks turning slightly pink. Aw he's blushing, it's kinda cute, I think to my self. Then I roll my eyes knowing he was bad news but he seemed different.

I just turn my head and just walk by my house door. As I search for my keys, I notice Javier next door by the house opening the door. "Oh yeah I'm you're new neighbor!" he yells over walking inside. As I stood there in shock I didn't know what else new happened. Until I open the door to my house and step inside.

"Oh hello," a woman with brunette hair greets me with a sweet smile. "Hi, I didn't know we had guests here. I'm Daniella." "I'm Christina, Christina Reyes. You must be the daughter, straight A student. I heard good things about you" She gleams. I freeze, the last name Reyes meant only that she was the mother of Javier. But she seemed different, more calm and preppy, unlike her son. "Well thanks for coming Christina, come again anytime I would love to meet your-" my mother walks into the hallway spotting me, "oh hey sweetie I didn't hear you come in." "Hi mom, and yeah I was just introducing myself to her," I gently smile. "Thank you Loretta for the tea and the welcome gift" Christina turned her head away. "No problem." "I'll run into you soon hopefully, bye bye now" she exits the house leaving me there stunned in a way. "I wonder..." I mumble. "What's that?" my mother curiously leans in. "Nothing, I'm going upstairs to do my homework now" I rush upstairs. I start off by doing my English homework but the laptop seemed to lure me in. As I long onto my chat room it already seemed that Javier found me. He messaged me saying 'Hey'. I didn't know what to think of that so I just replied saying hi. A normal conversation was going on between the two of us which I found a little strange. I didn't feel weird, or annoyed, not in the slightest bit. I was more surrounded by feelings that made me relaxed and happy.
