Chapter 40

I jumped an inch or two from the ground. The pounding didn't stop, it just became harder and louder by the second. I stare at Javi, he shakes his head as he read my mind. I didn't listen as I slowly tip toe over to the door. a huge pound scared me making me jump. I stand on my tippy toes looking through the peek hole before I open the door. I sigh as I open the door. Two arms wrap around me trying not to squeeze me.
"God, Ross you scared me." I hug him back.
I look over him shoulder as the rest of the crew come in.
"Dani I heard what happened!" Rydel walks towards me,"Ross get out of the way!" She pushes him away, hugging me.
I laugh,"Its so relieving to see you guys."
"Brianna is coming soon, she has some sort of plan decided." Riker shrugs.
"Alright." I turn my head as I felt a hand go around my waist.
"So have things been better around here for you guys?" Rocky looks between me and Javier.
We nod as we head to the living room. Ross was on his phone while everyone was chatting among themselves. Javi was talking to the crew, which they really seemed to get along. I got bored and plumped down next to Ross, making his head jerk up from his phone.
"Wow, if I knew that would work I would've done it thirty minutes ago!" I sarcastically exclaim.
"Ha-ha very funny" his face scrunches up.
"Who ya texting!" I lean over.
"Ummm... Nobody!" Shutting it off.
"Aw come on!"
"Well... it's this girl." he pauses,"Well two girls..." he snickers at the thought.
"Ross!" I nudge him and laugh along.
"Haha yeahh... Well can I invite one of them?" Ross scratches the back of his head.
"What are both of their names?" I grab some candy out of the box he had.
"Well one's Crystal and the other is Laura."
"Pretty names, which one is coming?"
"Laura, I was hoping." He mumbles.
"Sure, go ahead bestie." I walk away and sit on Javier's lap.
"Hey." He looks up.
"Why hello there sunshine!" I kiss him gently.
Wasn't long until Brianna arrived and we started watching a movie or movies marathon. Laura arrived shortly after, I have to admit she was pretty. After we finished the first movie, I raised up picking up a bunch of disks.
"Okay guys it's my turn to nerd out. HARRY POTTER HERE WE GO!" I shout as the group giggles. Everyone except Laura. She rolls her eyes,"I hate Harry Potter, right Ro-" She stopped. I wondered why but it wasn't log until I found out. Ross looked at me beaming and his eyes were lit up as if he got a ice cream. I awkwardly turn around and sliding in the first disk.
After a while I walked upstairs to grab something to slip into, like my pjs.
I hear foot steps behind me, I turn to face Laura.
"Stay the hell away from Ross."
"Excuse me?" I laugh at those words. Is she really telling me?
"You're excused!" She pushes me to the ground."
"Ow! Shit..." I protect me stitches from being torn. Geez it hurt like hell. Running came towards us as Ross appeared from outside the hall.
He looked at me then Laura,"Laura get out." He grumbled.
"But-but Rossy!" Her voice sweet and light. Rossy was her nickname for him. Making me roll my eyes.
"Now." Ross points towards the door. She scrambles out, slamming the door downstairs behind her.
He helps me up slowly,"You okay?"
"Mhm..." The pain wears down,"Try something out with Crystal though."
Ross carries me back downstairs putting me on Javier's lap, it made Javi feel better. I could tell since he didn't let go of me anymore.
"Thank you," I smile.
"No problem, anything for you, Best friend." Ross smiles but his eyes seemed glassy. The atmosphere felt weird. I could tell especially from Rydel's expression. We make eye contact and she looks at me, then Brianna who was on Riker's lap. We knew from that point we all needed to talk. Sleepover is settled and needed.
