Chapter 9 A day to remember

The whole day I couldn't help but think what has happened. I look outside, the sun was already raised. I see Javier and the Brunette walking out into his car. I notice it was 2:27 in the afternoon. I roll my eyes and decide to get dressed. As I was at the coffee house my mother calls me and seemed to be in a good mood. "Dani come home now you'll love it!" She squeals. "I'll love what?" I question.
"Just come home!" She hangs up, leaves me hanging. As I reach my house I was surprised on who I saw standing there. It was Charles my childhood friend, we became best friends 2nd grade- 8th grade but then he moved away. I always had a major crush on Charles but now all the feelings came flowing back. I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought I'd never see him again. Our parents always thought we'd get married, but that's most likely because they were good friends. "Earth to Danilopotis" Charles waves coffee and a muffin in my face, knowing I zoned out. "Charles!" I hug him so tightly making sure this isn't a dream. I've notice what I've done and right when I was about to pull away 2 strong arms hug me tightly back. "Hey how's it been Dani? Anyone try stealing my girl yet?" Charles looks down upon me. I blush and reply "No. Did anybody try stealing my man yet?" "Of Course why wouldn't they! They weren't bad looking themselves" he jokes. I push him away crossing my arms. I meant it as a joke but my jealousy was no to real to take as a joke. "Aw come on Dani, you know you're the one I really care about" Charles hugs me from behind and kisses me on the cheek. I feel myself start getting hot so I pull away and say "Wanna go to the mall?"
"Sure why not."
We walk outside and I notice him walking to an amazing car. "Nice ride" I state and make myself comfortable in the seat. We finally make it to the mall and I drag him around like a rag doll. It was mostly because I wanted to show him all the fun things. I also didn't want girls to take one look at him and steal him away. "Hey Charles-" It was too late some off Ashley's friends found him. I walk over there and grab his arm adding "Anything you want with my man?" They all roll their eyes and walk away. "Why'd you do that!" Charles complains. I just shake my head and walk over to the food court. As I pick a table while Charles orders the food, I spot Javier and that nurse. Wasn't I a lucky winner! I tried my best not to go over there and say anything, but as they started to finish 2 or 3 bites I couldn't resist any longer. I slam my hands in the table which startled the brunette. "Isn't that a little to much cleavage to show to the public? Trying to have guys stare at you? Isn't that a little to short? Are you trying to look like a slut? What about the make up. Are you also trying to look like a Barbie doll-" I get dragged away my an arm. "What the hell are you doing?" Javier looks at me with cold eyes. I didn't respond. "I get you're jealous that I'm going out with Lily but deal with it. You missed your chance by being a naive bitch. She actually cares about me unlike you who cares about someone who almost used you for sex!Get lost I don't want to see your ugly ass face. I'd like to see my girlfriend you know." He walks away. I was hurt. I never knew he was capable of being a cruel person. I felt myself start to cry. I didn't want Charles to see me like this so I took the bus home. As I lay in bed at home for hours, my phone vibrates. I was hoping it was Javier texting a apology, it was just Charles.

|Me: Sorry Charles I felt sick I didn't mean to bail. |
| Charles: Aw you okay? Feeling better? |
|Me: Yeah, it was a tiny little stomach ache but you know, I got over it|
|Charles: Eeww!|
|Me: Oh gross dude! No it just passed. Ya nasty. |
|Charles: Oh! Um... this is awkward.|
|Me: You don't say!|
|Charles: Lol! XD |
Charles and I end up having a HUGE conversation about the most randomness things. We had a conversation until 1 am. When I finished talking to Charles I sat on the roof outside my window, look up at the stars. It was quite windy that night but it didn't bother me much. From everything I felt, this was absolutely calm and refreshing. I knew I could get completely sick again, but it didn't matter. As I watch the stars, I hear a car pull in. Javier slowly gets up from the car and as he walks towards his house, he notices me. I couldn't help but stare straight back. At first he looked at me with cold eyes but he seemed to notice I wasn't wearing anything to keep myself warm. He opened his mouth to say something, but stops himself and shakes his head. He heads inside slamming the door. I look up at the stars, I didn't know what to think of, what would happen at school or anything. I hope I fix it up with him, I'll try tomorrow. If it doesn't work, it's over with. He'll just stay out of my life and I'll just stay out of his. We'll once again become complete strangers.
