I walked into the changing room and got changed into my gym clothes, quickly. I could hear the whispers around me, and I knew that they were talking about me. I didn't care about them, because I had my own stuff to worry about. They could gossip all they want. They weren't going to bug me at all with all the rumors that would be spread about me.
I shook my head and snorted, rolling my eyes at their petty behavior. "Dumb nuts," I muttered walking out of the changing room, leaving as just as fast as I had arrived. I looked around, wanting to see if Tupac was around, so that I could ask him if I could do something else.
Finally, I found him by the entrance of the gym and walked over to him, stuffing my hands into my pocket. "Morning, Mr. Wesh," I said, smiling at him. I leaned against the wall and sighed, waiting for him to say something.
Tupac smiled and nodded his head in greeting. "So, do you want an easier workout today or sleep? Your mother had all ready called me and told me what had happened." There was a grimace on his face and an apology in his voice, as if he had known what I was going to do.
Mia had been walking towards the changing rooms, when she had heard what he had said. She turned towards us and folded her arms across her chest. There was a frown on her face, because it looked like that she still didn't care about me. "Now, why does she get to choose on what she can get to do, while the rest of us have to suffer with whatever you had planned?"
"Well I had to do some stuff around the house, because Mom wanted me to do random crap, even though I do not know why she wanted me to do it." I shook my head and sighed. "So, I didn't get to bed until midnight. I did get to sleep at that time, but... I woke up at 3am because I had a very bad nightmare." I rubbed my neck and grimaced. "I don't think that I had gotten back to sleep until like 5 am, before I had to wake up and get ready for school. And that, is why Mr. Wesh was asking if I wanted an easier workout or such."
"So, why is she getting an easier workout?" she complained, ignoring what I had to say. She stomped her foot and huffed, glaring at me, before she looked at him.
"Martha just told you why she was going to get an easier workout," he said. There was a frown on his face, because he had known that we were best friends. However, I was sure that Mom had told him that she didn't want to be my friend anymore, because I didn't tell her about me being the Almair. He sighed and shook his head, as if he was disappointed in her attitude towards me. However, he wasn't going to say anything about it, because he knew that he had no place.
"Well, I don't believe her," she said. She glanced at me with a disgusted look before she looked at him. "So, that is why I'm asking you. It seems to me that you actually know what's going on. I was her best friend, but then she did not tell me something. Her not telling me something, lead our friendship to an end."
I bit my lip and looked away, not letting her see the hurt that she was causing me. I couldn't believe that I had actually tried to be her friend. I mean, I knew that she was a pain in the ass sometimes, but she had never acted like that to me. However, she was acting that way towards me now, and I didn't know if I would be able to ever be friends with her again. I was going to try, but I was certain that she wouldn't let me. "Well, I... um... I'm going into the karate room. I'll be doing what Master Yin had taught me, because I need the easier work out." I glanced at Tupac, to see that he had a look of pity on his face. I ignored it and turned towards the separate room and started to walk towards it, my back stiff.
I was going to practice for the big fight that I'll have to face with the Dark Forces... soon...
I was going to make sure that I was going to live the next day. I didn't know if they would be able to defeat me or not. However, I was going to take them down before I was killed. It was all that I could do to make sure that no one else suffered the pain of having to lose a loved one.
