chap 9- accusations

Sanskar held his head. He sat on the stairs.
Sanskar: i have committed a sin. I have done a sin. God please... ask her to give me any punishment but not this. Please.

Suddenly sanskar felt a searing pain in back of his head. His eyes rolled suddenly. He tried to hold the railing but all waste. His vision blurred. He tried hard to look and found a girl standing. She then tored the sleeve of her dress. She then pulled his hand and pressed it on her hand and face. She then scratched her hand with her own nails. And finally she pushed her head on the railing so that a little blood may escape.
Sanskar's vision blocked out. He passed out.

He tried to open his eyes slowly. He tried to recall what happened. He tried to fix his vision and found himself lying on a bench of hospital. He tried to get up. Suddenly he saw laksh and dp standing there. A lot of people were standing there. Seeing him awake laksh ran to him.
Laksh: bhaiya... you fine??
Sanskar nodded. Dp too come.
Dp: beta... tell us... tell us what happened?
Before sanskar could speak a police officer came and smirked.
Officer: yes mr maheshwari... tell us truth... how you managed to take the patient up there and tried to rape her?
Sanskar's world fell upside down for a moment. Rape....did he hear right?
Sanskar: officer... there is something wrong... rape. .
Officer: oooo... mr maheshwari... you were found lying on the deserted stairs of top floor at 5 o clock with the patient seeing whom even a beginer will say what happened. Thank god she managed to knock you off otherwise the beast in you...
Dp stood up with a fierceness..
Dp: mind your tongue officer.. he is my son and noone can talk to him this way.
Officer: dr dp... ask your son what he was doing in the hospital when his duty was over.
Dp: i need not to ask anything from my son. This is his hospital. He has to see the management.
Officer: i can understand your feelings. But charges are against him. We have to arrest him.
Sanskar's hands became numb. Arrest... charges... his mind was numb. But his mind came back to senses when the cold metal of handcuffs touched his wrist.
Sanskar: i have... i have done nothing. I swear i have done nothing.
Tears washed down from his eyes. The reputation he made in these years is all tornished now. For a doctor his image is everything and now...he lost it. For a moment he felt his eyes closing. But he regained it back. He saw dp's eyes tearing up, he saw laksh's eyes red with rage. He was being carried away by the officers. He was thrown in the police van. He found the crowd mocking him. He closed his eyes. He had lost everything now...everything.

Dp sat on the bench with a thud. He held his head with both his hands. His son was taken away in front of his eyes but he couldnt do anything. Laksh patted his back.
Laksh: dad... if we break down then what will happen to bhaiya. We have to be his strength.
Suddenly another doctor came.
Doctor: sir we all know sanskar sir have been wrongly framed. We know he cant do this.
A nurse came forward.
Nurse: sir.. he saved two people here by getting raped. We know he cant.
Dp looked around. Staff people and doctors all were standing there.
A student: sir... we will post this on social media. We will do marches for him.
Another student: sir.. sanskar sir can not do this and we all know this.
Dp stood up and folded his hands.
Dp: thx a lot for your support. But dont do anything like this. It will increase his humiliation only. Please.. if you want to give anything to him.. just do your duties more nicely. I know and you all know as well that he is innocent. And i know he will get justice.
Dp went away from there. Laksh too followed.

Swara on the other hand was unknown of all these things. She went away 6 o clock in the morning before the hustle started. She was too tired to think of anything. She fell on her bed and slept. She was having a bad headache. She typed a leave message and sent it to sanskar's email.

Ap was roaming here and there in the hall. Dp and laksh came.
Ap: what did the lawyer say? Bail will be granted or not?
Dp: it is a non bailable offence. It's impossible to grant bail.
Ap sat on the floor with a thud. Laksh held her.
Ap: my son... he is not wrong. I know... ma hu mai uski. I know he is not wrong.
She started to cry inconsolably. Dp patted her head.
Ap: i want... i want to meet my son.
Dp: we cant... no family member has been allowed to meet him right now.
Ap widened her eyes.
Ap: na jane kis hal me hoga mera beta. That girl.... i wish she die.
Laksh: ma... please... calm down. We will find a way.
